Position Overview
This SAP EWM Consultant role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements from warehouse and supply chain stakeholders, conducting workshops and preparing functional specifications, configuring SAP EWM business processes and warehouse structures, integrating SAP EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP and TM, performing fit-gap analysis, coordinating with ABAP developers on enhancements, executing testing phases, and supporting data migration, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Design
- Gather and analyze business requirements from warehouse and supply chain stakeholders
- Conduct workshops and prepare functional specifications (FS) for custom developments
- Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP best practices
SAP EWM Configuration
- Configure SAP EWM business processes: inbound/outbound processing, putaway and picking strategies, packing and handling unit management, physical inventory, replenishment, cross-docking, wave management, yard management, slotting and rearrangement
- Configure warehouse structures including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, activity areas and work centers
Integration & Documentation
- Integrate SAP EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP, TM and other enterprise applications
- Prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, process flows and user manuals
- Coordinate with ABAP developers for enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms and workflows
Testing, Deployment & Support
- Execute Unit Testing, SIT, UAT and support defect resolution
- Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live and hypercare activities
- Provide end-user training and post-implementation support
- Analyze production issues and provide functional solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse efficiency and business processes
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant SAP consulting experience with strong hands-on SAP EWM experience
- Experience in at least 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementations, covering requirements through post-go-live support
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM implementations, rollouts, migrations, upgrades and support projects
Essential Skills
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP EWM, including Embedded and/or Decentralized EWM
- Hands-on configuration experience with warehouse structures, RF Framework, POSC/LOSC, HUs, PPF, physical inventory, replenishment, wave management, cross-docking, yard management and slotting
- Strong understanding of SAP EWM integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, TM, QM and other applications
- Experience with warehouse automation, barcode scanners, RF devices and RFC/ERP-EWM integration is an advantage
- Experience working with ABAP developers on enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms and workflows
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and process improvement skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- SAP EWM certification is an advantage
