Position Overview
The Senior Coordinator Quality Control at talabat tMart is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that sits at the core of the company’s commitment to delivering fresh, safe, and high-quality groceries to customers within 30 minutes. You will manage quality checks for all inbound deliveries from suppliers and outbound dispatches to tMart cloud stores, enforce critical food safety protocols including FIFO and FEFO product rotation, monitor cold chain integrity, lead supplier non-conformance processes, and ensure that every product that moves through the warehouse meets the precise quality and safety standards required by talabat, tMart, and UAE food safety authorities.
As a senior team member, you will also track supplier performance, report KPIs on rejections, wastage, and deviations to management, and take proactive action on corrective action plans (CAP). Key Responsibilities
Inbound Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform comprehensive inbound QC checks covering temperature verification, shelf life assessment, product labeling accuracy, and physical product condition at time of supplier delivery
- Inspect all incoming fresh, frozen, chilled, and ambient products against talabat tMart quality standards and UAE food safety compliance requirements
- Lead product rejection processes for non-conforming inbound goods, documenting findings and initiating supplier non-conformance reports with full evidence trail
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all inbound QC data in reporting systems and escalate critical issues to management without delay
Warehouse Quality, Hygiene & Cold Chain Compliance
- Enforce strict FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) product rotation protocols across all warehouse storage zones
- Ensure proper product segregation between different food categories including butchery, fresh produce, frozen, and ambient to prevent contamination and cross-contact risks
- Monitor warehouse hygiene standards, storage condition compliance, and cold chain temperature integrity across all zones throughout daily operations
- Conduct regular audits of cold storage areas, refrigeration equipment performance, and warehouse cleanliness — escalating deviations immediately
- Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations and all approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal talabat quality procedures
Supplier Performance & Non-Conformance Management
- Track supplier quality performance metrics over time, maintaining accurate and updated supplier evaluation records and scorecards
- Lead and follow up on Corrective Action Plans (CAP) with underperforming suppliers to drive measurable quality improvement
- Prepare and submit supplier non-conformance reports with full documentation, photographs, and root cause analysis as required
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues efficiently and prevent recurrence
Outbound Quality Checks & Dispatch Control
- Conduct thorough outbound quality checks on all products before dispatch to tMart cloud stores and delivery operations
- Verify product integrity, temperature compliance, packaging condition, and labeling accuracy prior to every outbound dispatch
- Ensure that only products meeting tMart quality standards leave the warehouse to reach end customers within the 30-minute delivery window
- Coordinate closely with operations and dispatch teams to ensure outbound quality checks do not create delays in the fast-paced delivery environment
KPI Reporting & Management Escalation
- Report and escalate QC KPIs including rejection rates, product wastage levels, cold chain deviations, and supplier non-conformances to management in a timely and structured manner
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly QC performance reports using MS Excel and internal reporting tools
- Identify trends in quality deviations, waste, or supplier non-compliance and proactively recommend corrective strategies to the QC and operations management team
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing quality data insights that drive operational decision-making across tMart distribution operations
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Quality Control experience in a Distribution Center (DC), warehouse, FMCG retail business, cross-dock facility, or food operations environment
- Mandatory: Hands-on Butchery QC experience — direct quality control of meat and butchery products in a warehouse or food production environment is non-negotiable
- Strong practical knowledge of cold chain management and inbound supplier inspection protocols for fresh, frozen, and chilled food categories
- Experience in fast-paced grocery, FMCG, or food logistics operations — ideally within UAE, GCC, or Middle East regional distribution environments
Certifications & Technical Knowledge
- HACCP certification or ISO Food Safety certification (ISO 22000) — strongly preferred and advantageous for selection
- Working knowledge of UAE food safety regulations, Dubai Municipality food compliance standards, and applicable GCC food safety frameworks
- Familiarity with FIFO / FEFO stock rotation systems, product segregation protocols, and warehouse hygiene management best practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel for QC data tracking, KPI reporting, supplier performance monitoring, and management escalation reporting
Language & Communication Skills
- Proficiency in English language — strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, escalation, and cross-functional coordination
