Position Overview
This Senior Occupational Therapist role involves conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions for patients with physical, neurological, developmental, and functional needs. You will monitor patient progress, maintain comprehensive clinical documentation, collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and mentor junior therapists while supporting telehealth service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within professional scope
- Assess functional abilities, activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and sensory processing
- Develop individualized treatment plans and establish measurable goals with patients and families
Intervention & Rehabilitation Delivery
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, individually and in groups
- Support rehabilitation for neurological, orthopedic, developmental, and cognitive conditions
- Recommend assistive devices, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
- Support telehealth and remote occupational therapy services where clinically appropriate
Documentation, Collaboration & Mentorship
- Maintain timely and comprehensive clinical documentation of assessments and progress
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Mentor junior occupational therapists, therapy assistants, and interns
- Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement initiatives, and outcomes monitoring
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Appropriate professional registration, licensing, or certification for the relevant jurisdiction
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
- Experience developing individualized treatment plans and measurable clinical goals
- Experience supporting patients with physical, neurological, developmental, cognitive, or sensory needs
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy interventions
- Strong clinical reasoning and treatment-planning capabilities
- Knowledge of functional safety, accessibility, falls prevention, and risk management
