This Factory Shift Supervisor role at Lipton Teas and Infusions involves supervising manufacturing operations during assigned shifts, implementing SHEQ procedures ensuring safe working environment, managing manpower utilization, conducting effective handovers, monitoring production line performance, leading housekeeping and GMP practices, and coordinating with multiple departments while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and operational efficiency in tea production.

Key Responsibilities
SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality)
- Implement and adhere to all Lipton health, safety, food safety and environmental procedures
- Ensure secure working environment for entire team while understanding individual legal obligations
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of material handling ergonomics
- Foster safe working environment including food safety and participate in factory’s hazard reporting
- Monitor product quality against established standards and report packaging faults
- Lead emergency response team, investigate and report accidents/incidents, implement preventive measures
Manufacturing Operations
- Ensure every shift manpower utilization is well balanced according to skills and flexibility
- Conduct effective handovers to incoming operators ensuring prioritized safety, quality, and operations issues
- Conduct lines process confirmation per set criteria for safety, quality, and operations
- Ensure Factory Management Operating System (FMOS) updated timely with accurate shift reports
- Monitor Real Time Performance Monitor (RTPM) data accuracy and allocate losses correctly
- Perform SAP transactions for full manufacturing operations from blending to finished goods
Quality & Process Management
- Lead manufacturing lines standard housekeeping, 5S implementation, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Monitor line performance for operational safety, quality adherence, and machine optimum efficiency
- Take immediate actions for safety, quality, and operation non-conformances
- Ensure materials availability and precision in item codes and consumption
- Maintain hygienic operations throughout production
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Implement and monitor training programs for operators and 3PL contractors
- Coordinate with other departments for approved trials, manpower support, and operations requests
- Liaise with 3PL to manage manpower requirements based on production plan
- Engage in continuous improvement projects such as Kaizen initiatives
- Perform timely escalations to manufacturing team leader and manager
Experience & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing company with high safety and quality standards
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Teabag experience (Perfecta, IMA), filling, overwrapping, case packing technologies (1 year advantage)
- Experience working as collaborative team member in manufacturing sector
