Supply Chain Manager Position Overview
The Supply Chain Manager role at Eaton’s Nettersheim site is a senior position responsible for keeping materials flowing to a production operation that builds customized and standard stainless steel filter housings. You’ll lead the supply chain management team professionally and on a disciplinary basis, which means setting clear expectations, coaching people toward their development goals, and asking for accountability in return. Supplier relationships are central to the work. You’ll maintain and grow those relationships and lead negotiations on cost, delivery performance, and commercial agreements, making sure suppliers meet the quality requirements the business depends on. Planning is equally important. You’ll lead the SIOP process, bringing together sales forecasts, inventory positions, and operations capacity so that the site can make reliable decisions about what to buy, build, and ship. Optimization runs throughout the role: you’ll look for opportunities to improve the supply chain, then put those improvements into practice. Responsibility for inventory management, stocktaking, and logistics concepts completes the picture, and you’ll ensure that material is available on time for production. The role also works closely with colleagues across an international organization, so clear communication with teams in Germany and abroad is part of the daily rhythm.
As Supply Chain Manager, you’ll deepen your understanding of the entire supply chain, from supplier selection and negotiation through planning, inventory, and logistics, while building leadership skills in a stable global company. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or comparable further education, such as a state-certified business administrator, in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a similar field, along with several years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or logistics. Confidence in supplier negotiations, the ability to motivate a team, and a technical understanding of the products are valuable, and knowledge of the Pressure Equipment Directive and related standards is a plus. Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement, strong IT skills in MS Office and ERP systems, and analytical, solution-oriented thinking are also important. Excellent German and English, both written and spoken, is required. For experienced supply chain professionals in the Eifel region, this role offers the chance to lead a team at a respected global power management company.
Why This Role Matters: As Supply Chain Manager at Eaton Nettersheim, you keep production supplied with the materials customers depend on, lead a supply chain team and build its capability, drive supplier negotiations that protect cost and delivery, run the SIOP process that aligns sales, inventory, and operations, find and deliver real optimization gains, and advance a senior career in supply chain leadership with a globally recognized employer.
