Position Overview
This Electrical BOP & Grid Expert role acts as technical advisor for electrical BOP and grid expert scope during developer bid review and RFP/specification preparation. You will lead technical due diligence, verify compliance with project and off-taker requirements, identify risks and deviations, prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation, and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support across power plant electrical systems, HV grid connection, and protection/control scopes.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Advisory & Due Diligence
- Act as technical advisor for electrical BOP and grid expert scope during developer bid review
- Lead technical due diligence and verify compliance with project/off-taker requirements
Risk Identification & Clarifications
- Identify risks and deviations across technical submissions
- Prepare clarifications and support technical evaluation
RFP & Specification Preparation
- Support RFP/specification preparation for electrical BOP and grid connection scopes
Contract & Negotiation Support
- Contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support
- Read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, and LD-linked performance clauses
- Review interface obligations, acceptance testing requirements, and developer deviations
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Professional registration, chartership, or OEM/utility/off-taker experience is preferred
Experience Requirements
- 12+ years in power plant electrical systems, HV grid connection, protection/control, and grid code compliance
- Experience as owner’s engineer or in utility review
Technical Expertise
- Generator, IPB, GSUT/UAT, HV GIS/AIS, MV/LV switchgear, protection and control, metering, and auxiliary power
- Black start/emergency supply, earthing, lightning, grid code, and power system studies
- Knowledge of IEC 60076, IEC 62271, IEC 61850, IEC 60255, IEC 60909, and IEEE/IEC grounding standards
- Proficiency with ETAP, DIgSILENT, or PSCAD as applicable
Commercial/Contract Awareness
- Ability to read and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules and guarantees
- Understanding of LD-linked performance clauses, interface obligations, and acceptance testing requirements
