Position Overview
This Crop Insurance Processor role in Brighton, Illinois involves processing and reviewing crop insurance applications, endorsements and claims for accuracy and compliance. You will verify crop data and production reports, prepare and submit claims in compliance with federal and state regulations, investigate and resolve discrepancies with Insurance Risk Advisors and clients, and provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external clients throughout the policy lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Application & Claims Processing
- Process and review crop insurance applications, endorsements and claims for accuracy and compliance
- Verify crop data, production reports and other documentation to ensure regulatory adherence
- Prepare and submit claims in compliance with federal and state regulations
Compliance & Discrepancy Resolution
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with Insurance Risk Advisors and clients
- Ensure adherence to crop insurance underwriting guidelines and industry regulations
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across all policy documentation
Data Management & Customer Service
- Enter data into systems, organize documents, and monitor workflows to ensure timely policy processing
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries from internal teams and external clients
- Support a fast-paced, deadline-driven insurance processing environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in insurance processing, underwriting, or customer service
- Knowledge of crop insurance products, underwriting guidelines and industry regulations is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn database/CRM software
