Position Overview
This NPD Specialist role at Notions Group involves driving new product development for chocolate, confectionery, and sweet goods products, from initial formulation and testing through to scale-up and commercialization. You will apply strong knowledge of food regulations, labeling, allergens, nutrition facts, and product claims, while coordinating closely with R&D, Production, Quality, and Marketing teams to bring innovative products to market in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
New Product Development & Formulation
- Lead hands-on new product development for chocolate, confectionery, and sweet goods
- Develop and refine product formulations to meet quality and market requirements
- Conduct product testing and evaluation throughout the development process
- Support scale-up and commercialization of new product formulations
Regulatory Compliance & Product Claims
- Apply knowledge of food regulations, labeling, and allergen requirements
- Ensure accurate nutrition facts and appropriate product claims
- Support compliance with applicable food safety and labeling standards
- Keep documentation aligned with regulatory and company requirements
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with R&D, Production, Quality, and Marketing teams
- Support smooth handover from development to production scale-up
- Contribute to fast-paced, deadline-driven product launch timelines
- Maintain detail-oriented, proactive collaboration across departments
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Biotechnology, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Experience in FMCG/CPG, preferably in chocolate, confectionery, sweet goods, or similar industries
- Hands-on experience in new product development, formulation, testing, scale-up, and commercialization
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of food regulations, labeling, allergens, nutrition facts, and product claims
- Strong coordination skills with R&D, Production, Quality, and Marketing teams
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
