An aerospace manufacturer in the UAE is hiring a Composite Assembly Technician to build carbon-fiber structures for UAVs and drones. If you enjoy precise handwork, understand how composite parts go together and take quality seriously, this role puts your skills into aircraft-grade products.
About the Role
You will assemble, fit, bond, drill, fasten and integrate composite components such as fuselage sections, wings, tail structures, control surfaces, fairings and access panels. All work follows engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions and aerospace quality standards. You will use jigs, fixtures and precision tools, check alignment and tolerances, and report any defects or non-conformities you find.
Career Impact & Growth Opportunity
The UAE is building up its advanced manufacturing and aerospace capability, and skilled composite technicians are hard to find. With experience in structural bonding, inspection and documentation, you can move toward Senior Technician, Production Lead, Quality Inspector or Composite Process Specialist roles.
Why This Role Matters
A bonded joint or a drilled hole that is slightly off can weaken an airframe. By working carefully, protecting delicate composite parts and keeping full traceability, the technician helps make sure every structure is safe and fit to fly.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Bonding
- Assemble carbon-fiber structures including fuselage sections, wings, tail, control surfaces and fairings
- Fit, drill, ream, countersink, trim and fasten composite components precisely
- Prepare surfaces and carry out structural adhesive bonding to approved processes
- Install inserts, bushings, brackets, nut plates and other aerospace hardware
- Help integrate landing gear, propulsion mounting structures and other mechanical parts
Inspection & Documentation
- Read drawings, BOMs, work instructions and specifications
- Check alignment, dimensions, gaps and tolerances with gauges and measuring tools
- Report composite defects, discrepancies and non-conformities
- Complete production records and keep material traceability
Safety & Handling
- Follow FOD prevention, HSE, PPE, tool-control and 5S rules
- Protect composite parts from impact, contamination and scratches
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical diploma or certificate in aerospace, mechanical or composite manufacturing preferred
- 3–5 years in composite or aerospace structural assembly
- Hands-on carbon-fiber (CFRP) experience highly preferred; UAV, drone or aircraft experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of structural bonding, composite drilling, torque-controlled fastening and dimensional inspection
- Able to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances
- Strong manual skills, attention to detail and a safety-first, quality-focused approach
About This Opportunity
This full-time, on-site position offers hands-on work with advanced composite structures in a quality-driven aerospace environment, with strong emphasis on documentation, traceability and FOD control.
Who Should Apply
This role suits composite fabricators, aircraft structure technicians and skilled mechanical assemblers who are disciplined with paperwork, careful with materials and comfortable working both alone and in a production team.
