 Position Overview
This Automatic Car Parking System Operator role involves operating and monitoring the system for smooth, uninterrupted operation, managing vehicle entry, parking, retrieval, and exit, and watching system status, alarms, and error messages. You will verify vehicles are correctly positioned before automated movements begin, perform initial checks when alarms appear, report issues to the maintenance team, and keep daily operational logs and incident reports.

Key Responsibilities
System Operation & Monitoring
- Operate and monitor the automatic car parking system to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation
- Manage vehicle entry, parking, retrieval, and exit through the control panel or operator interface
- Monitor system status, alarms, error messages, and operational indicators
- Maintain records of system operations, vehicle movements, and operational incidents
Safety & Security
- Carry out all parking operations in accordance with approved safety procedures
- Verify vehicles are correctly positioned and meet operating requirements before initiating automated movements
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted operational areas
- Report unsafe conditions, malfunctions, or emergencies to the supervisor immediately
- Follow emergency shutdown, evacuation, and incident-reporting procedures
Basic Troubleshooting & Maintenance Coordination
- Perform initial checks when the system displays alarms or operational errors
- Identify and report common issues to the maintenance or technical support team
- Assist technicians during inspections, troubleshooting, and preventive or corrective maintenance
- Do not attempt repairs or bypass safety interlocks unless specifically authorized and qualified
Customer Service & Reporting
- Assist customers with parking and retrieval, giving clear instructions on using the automated system
- Respond professionally to customer queries and complaints, coordinating with security and customer service
- Maintain daily operational logs and incident reports, recording downtime, alarms, and maintenance requests
- Hand over operational status and pending issues clearly between shifts
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in equipment operation, automated systems, parking systems, industrial machinery, or a similar technical environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Basic computer skills and the ability to maintain operational records
