Position Overview
This Agronomist role is broad by design. You will develop and execute crop plans, set yield and quality targets, and identify risks and mitigation strategies with Agronomy and Farm leadership. In the field, you will oversee soil health programmes — cover crops, amendments, fumigation planning, and long-term productivity — and make sure fields, seed, and planting are ready and accurate for uniform emergence. You will lead regional scouting programmes, set standards, and train teams, and direct integrated pest management and fertility programmes, including data interpretation, treatment decisions, and regulatory compliance. Irrigation accuracy and schedules, crop progress tracking, yield forecasts, harvest timing, and risk assessments are part of the job too. Near the end of the season you will support harvest readiness, check crop quality entering storage, communicate risks, run post-season analysis, make sure data is captured accurately, and contribute to trials and innovation work with Farm Managers, Agronomy, and Operations.
