ADM Nutrition is seeking a Lab Technician to play key part in supporting beverage and sweet food application lab contributing to flavor creation and finished application development while taking ownership of coordinating customer projects ensuring all work aligns with deadlines, safety requirements, and organizational goals across EMEA region.
Position Overview
The Lab Technician will work in ADM Nutrition’s application laboratory in the United Arab Emirates, supporting beverage and sweet food product development. This hands-on technical role combines laboratory work with customer project coordination, requiring expertise in flavor creation, sample production, and cross-functional collaboration across ADM’s EMEA network including development headquarters in Germany.
Working with fine chemicals and food ingredients, you will produce taste samples, adapt formulations based on customer requirements, and release samples for customer testing while maintaining precise and disciplined working practices aligned with safety and quality standards.

Your Responsibilities
As Lab Technician in ADM UAE application lab, your responsibilities include:
ADM Product & Service Portfolio Knowledge
- Fully understand ADM Nutrition’s product and service portfolio
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ingredient solutions for beverage and sweet food applications
- Stay updated on ADM innovations and product developments
- Apply portfolio knowledge to customer project solutions
Taste Sample Production & Adaptation
- Responsible for production and adaptation of taste samples for customer evaluation
- Perform modifications of ADM products based on customer requirements and specifications
- Execute formulation adjustments optimizing flavor, texture, and functionality
- Conduct sample release for customer sampling ensuring quality standards
- Document all formulation changes and sample versions
Chemical Handling & Laboratory Practices
- Comfortable handling fine chemicals used in flavor and food applications
- Consistently maintain precise and disciplined working practices in laboratory
- Follow safety protocols for chemical storage, handling, and disposal
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization
- Maintain equipment calibration and functionality
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate and communicate between departments across EMEA region
- Interface with development headquarters in Germany on technical projects
- Coordinate with other application labs sharing knowledge and resources

The ideal candidate for this lab technician food science position must possess:
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Food Science and Technology
- OR Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry
- OR Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacist)
Professional Experience
- Ideally first experience in product development and application of beverage and/or food
- Background in application laboratory or food product development beneficial
- Experience with flavor systems or ingredient applications advantageous
Technical Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of product processing and manufacturing
- Understanding of interaction of ingredients in food formulations
- Knowledge of beverage or sweet food applications desirable
Project Management Skills
- Excellent project management skills coordinating multiple customer projects
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational capabilities
Language Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English — REQUIRED
- Arabic language skills is an advantage
