 Position Overview

The Quality Officer at Reem Hospital plays a central and highly visible role within the hospital’s Quality & Patient Safety team. You will support and implement quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives, coordinate risk management activities and incident reporting, manage JAWDA indicator data collection and analysis, assist departments with audits and corrective action plans (CAPA), and ensure ongoing compliance with DOH and ADHICS standards.  Key Responsibilities

Quality & Performance Improvement

  • Support and actively implement quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives across all hospital departments
  • Participate in policy development, quality reporting cycles, and ongoing continuous improvement projects
  • Contribute meaningfully to patient safety initiatives and quality awareness programs across the hospital
  • Drive department-level engagement with quality improvement methodologies to embed a culture of continuous excellence

Risk Management & Incident Reporting

  • Coordinate and monitor risk management activities, incident reporting systems, and follow-up actions to resolution
  • Assist departments with quality audits and the development of corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA)
  • Track and report on CAPA implementation status to ensure timely closure of identified quality and safety gaps
  • Support the hospital’s risk register maintenance and ensure risk management documentation is current and accurate

JAWDA Indicators & Data Management

  • Manage and support all JAWDA quality indicator activities including data collection, analysis, and regulatory reporting
  • Ensure JAWDA data submissions to the Department of Health (DOH) are accurate, timely, and fully compliant
  • Analyze quality indicator trends to identify performance gaps and present actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Support departments in understanding their JAWDA indicator performance and driving targeted improvement actions

Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with DOH and ADHICS standards across all clinical and administrative departments
  • Support full accreditation and regulatory readiness activities including preparation for JCI surveys and inspections
  • Assist in the development and review of hospital policies, procedures, and quality documentation in line with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and report on accreditation compliance status and coordinate corrective actions where gaps are identified

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, or a closely related healthcare discipline
  • Additional certifications in quality management, patient safety, or healthcare accreditation are a strong professional advantage

Experience Requirements

  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in a hospital quality or patient safety role within a recognized healthcare facility
  • Proven experience managing JAWDA indicators, CAPA processes, and accreditation readiness activities
  • Prior exposure to DOH regulatory requirements and ADHICS compliance frameworks within UAE healthcare settings

Technical Knowledge & Standards

  • Strong working knowledge of Performance Improvement frameworks and Quality Improvement methodologies
  • Solid understanding of Risk Management principles and healthcare incident reporting systems
  • Thorough familiarity with JAWDA quality indicators and the DOH regulatory reporting requirements in Abu Dhabi
  • Working knowledge of JCI and ADHICS standards is required; CARF accreditation experience is preferred

Essential Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present quality data to clinical and management audiences
  • Excellent documentation abilities and meticulous attention to detail in quality records and regulatory submissions
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills for effective cross-departmental quality collaboration
