- Develop and execute comprehensive crop plans for assigned Wysocki Family Farms fields — setting yield and quality targets, identifying agronomic risks and developing mitigation strategies in close partnership with Agronomy and Farm leadership to align field-level plans with the farm’s overall business and production objectives.
- Oversee soil health programs across assigned fields — managing cover crop programs, soil amendment applications, fumigation planning and long-term field productivity enhancement strategies that build and maintain the soil health foundation required for consistently high crop yields across central Wisconsin’s agricultural landscape.
- Ensure field readiness for planting — verifying seed quality, coordinating planting preparation activities, monitoring planting operations to drive uniform emergence and promptly addressing any issues that arise during planting to protect crop establishment quality and early-season yield potential.
Scouting, IPM & Fertility Management
- Lead regional scouting programs across assigned Wysocki Family Farms fields — establishing scouting standards, training scouting team members and ensuring consistent, high-quality field observations that provide the timely, accurate pest and crop health data needed for informed agronomic decision-making throughout the growing season.
- Direct integrated pest management (IPM) programs — including pest monitoring, economic threshold evaluation, treatment decisions and application timing — and manage fertility programs through data-driven nutrient management plans, soil test interpretation, fertilizer application scheduling and regulatory compliance for all field-applied products.
Irrigation Management & Crop Progress Monitoring
- Monitor crop water needs continuously throughout the growing season — ensuring irrigation accuracy, coordinating irrigation schedules across assigned fields and optimizing water application timing and volumes to maximize crop health, yield performance and water use efficiency across Wysocki Family Farms’ central Wisconsin operations.
- Track crop development stages and key agronomic milestones continuously — analyzing field data, monitoring crop progress against established benchmarks, developing accurate yield forecasts, assessing harvest timing windows and communicating risk assessments related to weather, pest pressure or crop stress that may impact final yield or product quality.
Harvest, Post-Harvest & Continuous Improvement
