Position Overview
The Food Safety Lead Auditor (BRCGS) at TÜV SÜD Dubai is a senior technical role responsible for conducting rigorous external audits against BRCGS Food Safety and related food safety management standards across the UAE and GCC region. Your Tasks — Key Audit Responsibilities
The Food Safety Lead Auditor at TÜV SÜD Dubai carries seven core technical and operational audit responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough, independent audits against BRCGS Food Safety standards — ensuring each audit is planned, executed, and documented to TÜV SÜD’s exacting quality and impartiality requirements
- Plan and prepare comprehensive audit schedules — coordinating with clients, internal teams, and certification bodies to ensure timely and efficient audit delivery across the GCC region
- Evaluate food safety management systems including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and BRCGS — assessing system effectiveness, implementation quality, and compliance against applicable standards
- Identify non-conformities with precision and prepare detailed, evidence-based audit findings and reports that provide genuine value-addition to audited organizations
- Follow up on corrective actions submitted by audited organizations — ensuring all non-conformities are addressed effectively before certification decisions are confirmed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements under ISO 17021 (management system certification) and ISO 19011 (auditing guidelines) throughout all audit activities
- Support certification decisions and technical reviews — contributing expert food safety knowledge to TÜV SÜD’s certification decision-making processes with full impartiality and technical rigor
Qualifications & Requirements
Mandatory Registration & Qualification
- Registered BRCGS Lead Auditor — valid, current registration is a mandatory requirement and absolute prerequisite for this position
- Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 22000, Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), or BRCGS — formal lead auditor training and certification required
