 Position Overview

The QHSE / Food Safety Officer in Saudi Arabia is a full-time, on-site role responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures across the organization’s catering operations. You will ensure full compliance with local Saudi regulations and international company standards, conduct risk assessments and internal audits, investigate incidents and non-conformities, deliver employee safety training programs, and maintain comprehensive QHSE documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously monitor QHSE policies and procedures across all catering and operational activities

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across all QHSE areas — driving measurable progress in safety culture and quality performance
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date QHSE documentation and performance reports for management review

Risk Assessment, Inspections & Internal Audits

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments across all operational areas to identify hazards and implement effective preventive controls
  • Perform regular site inspections and internal QHSE audits to verify compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-conformities — identifying root causes and developing corrective and preventive action plans
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure timely closure of all audit findings and non-conformance reports

Safety Training & Employee Awareness

  • Design and deliver comprehensive safety training and awareness programs to all levels of employees across the catering operation
  • Promote a strong, proactive safety culture where every team member understands and actively participates in QHSE responsibilities
  • Provide regular safety briefings, toolbox talks, and compliance updates to kitchen and catering staff on food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support management in embedding QHSE best practices into daily operational routines across all Saudi Arabia sites

 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Food Science, or a closely related field is required
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely certification is strongly preferred and highly advantageous
  • Additional qualifications in ISO auditing, food safety management, or occupational health are a clear added advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a QHSE role, with preference given to candidates from the catering or food service industry
  • Strong and demonstrable knowledge of ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 frameworks and their practical application
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, site inspections, internal audits, and incident investigations professionally
  • Experience preparing and maintaining detailed QHSE documentation, reports, and compliance records
