Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Compliance & QMS Management
- Ensure full compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), food safety standards, GFSI requirements, and all local UAE and international regulations across all Agthia Group operational sites
- Conduct systematic quality inspections, manage non-conformities, and oversee CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes — ensuring all identified quality issues are investigated, resolved, and systematically prevented from recurrence
- Drive continuous improvement across all quality assurance processes — collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering training programs that strengthen quality performance and food safety culture across the organization
- Support the preparation and maintenance of all QMS documentation — ensuring procedures, work instructions, compliance records, and audit files are current, accurate, and readily available for internal and external review
Food Safety Management — HACCP, ISO 22000 & FSMS
- Ensure full compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) including HACCP plans, ISO 22000 requirements, and all Agthia Group food safety policies across production, storage, and distribution operations
- Monitor HACCP implementation across all sites — verifying Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs) are correctly implemented, actively monitored, and thoroughly documented
- Monitor and enforce hygiene practices, sanitation standards, and temperature controls across production, storage, and distribution facilities — identifying deviations and implementing prompt corrective actions
- Conduct food safety inspections and deliver comprehensive food safety training and awareness programs — building genuine food safety compliance capability and a strong safety-first culture across all Agthia teams
Internal & External Audits — GFSI & Compliance Assessments
- Lead and coordinate all internal and external quality and food safety audits across Agthia Group — including GFSI scheme inspections, ISO certification audits, and regulatory compliance assessments across multiple UAE sites
- Conduct comprehensive facility and vehicle hygiene inspections — covering production plants, warehouses, distribution trucks, and tankers to ensure food safety and product protection standards are consistently maintained
- Manage all post-audit activities — including investigation reports, root cause analysis documentation, CAPA reporting, and follow-up verification activities to ensure all audit findings are closed effectively and on time
- Ensure Agthia Group is always in a state of full audit readiness — proactively identifying and addressing compliance gaps before they are flagged by external auditors or regulatory authorities
Training, Reporting & Leadership Support
- Support team development by assisting with the planning and delivery of training sessions on GFSI schemes, ISO standards, HACCP principles, GMP, GWP, and food safety best practices across Agthia sites
- Assist in reviewing quality and food safety performance reports — addressing customer complaints related to product quality, escalating potential risks to senior management, and driving systematic improvements
- Assist in tracking departmental expenses and analyzing cost performance against budgets — supporting accurate financial reporting and responsible resource management within the QA and food safety function
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Agthia’s operations in the UAE and internationally — providing compliance expertise, guidance, and support that strengthens quality and food safety outcomes at every organizational level
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field — required as the minimum educational qualification for this Agthia compliance role
- Certifications in GFSI schemes (such as BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000), HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, or relevant quality management systems are strongly preferred — candidates holding multiple certifications will receive priority consideration
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety — preferably within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or related food industry environment in the UAE or GCC region
- Proven experience in quality inspections, food safety audits, and the implementation and management of quality management systems — with solid working knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant managerial role is considered a meaningful advantage — demonstrating the leadership capability expected at Agthia’s senior compliance officer level
Key Technical Skills
- Ability to plan, conduct, and report on food safety and quality audits — with experience managing CAPA processes, root cause analysis programs, and compliance verification activities across multi-site operations
