Key Responsibilities
Daily Production Operations Management
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on schedule
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and adjust labor allocation as needed to meet shifting operational demands
- Ensure all team members strictly follow established Standard Operating Procedures and Good Production Practices
- Review and approve timekeeping, attendance, and time-off requests efficiently using Kronos and Oracle HCM systems
Quality Control & Process Compliance
- Monitor product quality, packaging specifications, and process controls throughout all production stages
- Identify defects or deviations promptly and implement effective corrective actions to maintain quality standards
- Track and achieve key departmental performance metrics including BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A-Grade percentage
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and reduce processing costs
Food Safety, HACCP & USDA Compliance
- Uphold all food safety requirements including HACCP principles, sanitation expectations, and USDA regulatory guidelines
- Apply practical Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points knowledge throughout all stages of processing operations
- Ensure compliance with sanitation requirements and pre-operational inspection guidelines at all times
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment through company safety policies and timely completion of required training
Team Leadership & Employee Development
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to build a high-performing, safety-conscious production workforce
- Promote a positive work environment aligned with Mountaire Farms’ family-focused culture and core values
- Support cross-department collaboration to ensure seamless coordination across all processing operations

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent — required for all applicants to this position
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field is strongly preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment — required
- Poultry processing or food manufacturing experience is strongly preferred and highly advantageous
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experience with HACCP principles and food safety systems required
Essential Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with genuine ability to coach and develop teams
- Familiarity with USDA regulations, sanitation requirements, and pre-operational inspection procedures
- Proficiency in workforce management systems such as Kronos and Oracle HCM is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding food manufacturing and processing environment
