 Position Overview

This Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor role at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North represents one of the most prestigious food safety positions available in Qatar’s luxury hospitality sector in 2026. You will be the operational food safety champion for one of the Gulf’s most exciting new luxury resort destinations — ensuring that every food outlet, kitchen, and food handling area meets the impeccable standards that Rixos guests expect and that Qatar’s food safety regulations demand.

From conducting detailed food safety audits and delivering staff training programs to investigating guest complaints and driving continuous improvements in hygiene practices — this role demands a food safety professional who combines technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for maintaining the highest standards in a dynamic, multi-outlet luxury hospitality environment.

Why This Role Matters: At a luxury resort of Rixos Qetaifan Island North’s caliber, food safety is inseparable from the guest experience. Every meal served across the resort’s fine dining restaurants, beach club, and casual outlets must be not only exceptional in quality but absolutely safe. The Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor is the professional who makes that guarantee possible — through rigorous auditing, comprehensive staff training, proactive incident management, and an unwavering commitment to standards that protect guests, staff, and the Rixos brand’s global reputation.

 Key Responsibilities

Food Safety Audits & Inspections

  • Supervise and conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, kitchen facilities, food storage areas, and equipment across all resort food outlets — ensuring full and consistent compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of all food safety and hygiene programs in place across the resort — identifying gaps, recommending corrective actions, and driving continuous improvements in food safety performance.
  • Ensure adherence to updated food safety regulations and industry best practices, keeping the organization compliant with Qatar regulatory requirements and international standards at all times.

Training & Food Safety Culture

  • Support and deliver comprehensive training sessions to all F&B employees on food safety practices — covering proper food handling, storage, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and disposal procedures across all resort outlets.
  • Develop and deliver engaging, practical training programs that build genuine food safety awareness and accountability among staff at all levels — from kitchen porters to senior chefs.
  • Collaborate with HR and Department Heads to ensure all new and existing staff complete mandatory food safety training and certification requirements as stipulated by resort policy and Qatar regulations.

Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions

  • Investigate all food safety incidents, guest complaints related to food quality or hygiene, and quality non-conformities — ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in every case.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of all incidents, investigations, corrective actions, and outcomes — ensuring documentation is audit-ready and accessible at all times.
  • Share lessons learned from incidents across departments to build a proactive, prevention-focused food safety culture throughout the resort.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams — including production, quality assurance, and operations — to ensure smooth and consistent implementation of food safety standards across all areas of resort operations.
  • Work closely with the Food Safety & Hygiene Manager to align supervisory activities with the resort’s overall food safety strategy, regulatory compliance requirements, and continuous improvement objectives.
  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive records, reports, and documentation related to all inspections, audits, training sessions, and compliance activities — ensuring records meet internal and external audit standards.

 Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a closely related field — required for this role
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a significant advantage and will be given preference during selection

Certifications

  • Certification in food safety and hygiene — HACCP, ServSafe, or an internationally recognized equivalent — is a mandatory requirement for this position
  • Additional certifications in food safety auditing, ISO 22000, or hospitality-specific food hygiene programs are a valued advantage

Experience

  • Proven experience in food safety, hygiene, or quality assurance within the hospitality or food service industry — preferably in a supervisory role within a hotel, resort, or large-scale food service operation
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards — HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA, or equivalent local Qatar regulatory authority standards
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct food safety audits, investigate non-conformities, and implement effective corrective actions in a hospitality environment

Key Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to train, guide, and positively influence team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability — capable of identifying food safety risks and implementing effective, practical corrective actions quickly
