Position Overview

This Central Quality Assurance Manager role at Americana UAE is a full-time senior management position that places you at the helm of quality governance for one of the MENA region’s most prominent QSR franchise operators. You will lead and continuously improve the Americana Quality Management System — ensuring it remains aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRC standards while meeting the regulatory and franchisor requirements across multiple markets.  Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System Leadership

  • Lead and continuously improve the Americana Quality Management System, ensuring full alignment with ISO 9001 standards and periodic review to maintain current and up-to-date policies
  • Oversee the Central Quality Assurance team, ensuring alignment with company quality policies, standards, and guidelines across all markets and brands
  • Develop Central and market-level Quality Assurance Plans in line with the Americana QMS framework and strategic business objectives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic and tactical quality assurance plans that support business objectives and enable process automation

Regulatory, Franchisor & Standards Compliance

  • Ensure local regulatory requirements across all operating markets and franchisor guidelines are implemented and fully aligned with the Americana Quality Management System
  • Analyze franchisor quality systems, identify gaps and redundancies, and agree on collaborative solutions to avoid duplication — particularly within the product evaluation system
  • Address identified compliance gaps and discrepancies across markets and franchisor requirements with clear, timely corrective strategies
  • Maintain current knowledge of statutory food safety regulations, BRC, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 frameworks, and internal Americana quality policies

Audits, Non-Conformance & CAPA Management

  • Review non-conformities identified through internal and external audits and support the resolution of escalated non-conformance reports across the organization
  • Monitor and plan supplier and restaurant audit programmes to ensure ongoing compliance with quality and food safety standards
  • Develop proactive quality solutions by collecting and analyzing data, and establish quality assurance plans through hazard analysis, CCP identification, preventive measures, and corrective actions
  • Oversee calibration and testing programmes and ensure documentation and records are maintained in accordance with the Americana QMS and are readily available for audit review

Stakeholder Engagement & Quality Governance

  • Address all QA-related enquiries covering products, raw materials, customer complaints, food safety hazards, and governmental requirements and escalate to relevant stakeholders for timely action
  • Influence senior-level stakeholders and lead quality-driven change initiatives that embed a culture of food safety and quality excellence throughout the organization
  • Support training initiatives for relevant stakeholders on the Americana Quality Management System and related food safety standards
  • Drive strong collaboration and alignment across central, market, and franchise functions to achieve consistent quality outcomes at every level

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze quality data, audit trends, and performance indicators to identify systemic improvement opportunities across all brands and markets
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans incorporating hazard analysis, critical control point identification, verification controls, and monitoring procedures
  • Support the effective implementation of quality management software, reporting tools, and process automation initiatives
  • Lead and mentor the Central QA team to build a high-performing, capable function that delivers measurable improvements in food safety and quality outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a closely related discipline
  • MBA or Postgraduate M.Sc. in Quality Management is a significant asset and highly preferred for senior candidates

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control within the food sector — restaurant, food manufacturing, or food processing
  • Minimum 3 years in a commercial organization management role, leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Extensive F&B industry experience — background with a QSR franchisee is a strong competitive advantage

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRC quality and food safety management standards
  • Hands-on experience in audit readiness, non-conformance management, CAPA follow-up, and documentation control
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and continuously maintain quality management systems and related processes
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, reporting tools, data interpretation, and quality performance indicator analysis

Leadership & Generic Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English for senior stakeholder engagement across multi-brand, multi-market environments
