Position Overview
As a Supply Chain Consultant at Lidl’s international headquarters in Neckarsulm, you will serve as the central bridge between business operations and data-driven technology — identifying optimization potential within Lidl’s global supply chains and translating complex business logic into intelligent, scalable solutions. Working at the cutting edge of AI-supported supply chain management, you will run process and requirements workshops with specialist departments, design data architectures, lead test protocol creation, and develop training programmes for super-users and end-users. This is a rare opportunity to shape how one of Europe’s largest retailers uses AI and advanced analytics to transform its international logistics network from the inside out.
Why This Role Matters: As Supply Chain Consultant at Lidl, you are not just a logistics advisor — you are an architect of the AI-driven future of international retail supply chains. Every bottleneck you resolve, every AI application you design, and every cross-functional training you deliver directly enhances the efficiency and resilience of a supply chain that serves millions of customers across multiple countries every single day. If you want your expertise in supply chain, data analytics, and AI optimization to make a truly global impact, this is the role that delivers it.

- Act as the central bridge between specialist business departments and IT implementation teams — ensuring requirements are clearly documented and technically actionable
- Contribute actively to the design of the international system and control architecture — covering data sources, analytics layers, and user interfaces
- Prepare structured, precise IT requirements that enable colleagues to implement solutions efficiently, accurately, and on schedule
Test Case Design & Quality Assurance
- Define, create, and implement — ideally automated — test cases and test protocols for new supply chain workflows in close collaboration with interface teams
- Ensure the quality, completeness, and technical robustness of all testing activities across new AI and data-driven supply chain solutions
- Identify and escalate defects, gaps, or unexpected behaviours during testing, coordinating resolution with IT and specialist teams efficiently
