Position Overview
This Senior Electrical Engineer role at Technip Energies involves ensuring the technical integrity of electrical deliverables, performing electrical calculations covering equipment sizing, cable sizing, UPS sizing, and power system studies using ETAP, and developing electrical specifications, datasheets, schedules, and layout drawings. You will coordinate with vendors, ensure contractual technical specifications are met, and provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members throughout each Oil & Gas project in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Calculations
- Ensure timely and qualitative preparation of technical specifications and requisitions
- Perform electrical calculations covering equipment sizing, cable sizing, and UPS sizing
- Conduct power system studies using ETAP software
- Develop electrical specifications, datasheets, schedules, load lists, and I/O lists
Design Documentation & Engineering Support
- Prepare layout drawings and electrical MTO to support detailed engineering
- Contribute to optimization of material quantities through value engineering solutions
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities
- Adhere to committed man-hours and project budget targets
Vendor Coordination & Compliance
- Ensure proper communication with vendors and technical follow-up of orders
- Ensure contractual technical specifications are met by suppliers
- Meet quality and HSE objectives across all project deliverables
- Interface with other discipline specialist engineers and project support functions
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers within the team
- Report engineering and requisitioning progress to the Lead Discipline Engineer
- Support brownfield projects, including adequacy reports and modification scope of work
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design within Oil & Gas Projects/Industry
- Well versed with ETAP Software for power system analysis
- Significant experience preparing Electrical Design Basis and specifying Electrical Equipment and Automation Systems
Technical Skills
- Significant experience in various power system analysis studies
- Thorough knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards for electrical design
- Good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices for Oil & Gas facilities
- Experience in brownfield projects, including adequacy reports and modification scopes
