Position Overview

The Financial Assurance Analyst at Ebara Elliott Energy plays a vital individual contributor role in maintaining the highest standards of financial quality and internal control across the global organisation. Based permanently in KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, you will execute detailed reviews of balance sheet reconciliations, support monthly and quarterly variance analysis, track remediation of audit findings, and contribute directly to executive-level global financial reporting — all while championing best practices for account substantiation and IFRS/GAAP compliance throughout the business.

 Key Responsibilities

Balance Sheet Quality Assurance

  • Execute detailed, independent reviews of complex balance sheet reconciliations prepared by regional and local finance teams globally
  • Ensure all reviewed reconciliations comply strictly with the established Global Quality Framework and BSR standards
  • Verify that all account balances are properly supported, fully documented, and compliant with IFRS and GAAP policies
  • Identify recurring documentation or policy compliance issues and report findings to the Finance Manager – Quality for remediation planning

ARCS System Integrity & Controls

  • Work closely with the ARCS Admin Team and regional users to ensure the reconciliation tool is used correctly and efficiently
  • Actively flag potential control gaps or system design inconsistencies within the Oracle ARCS reconciliation platform
  • Champion best practices for account substantiation and internal financial controls across the entire organisation
  • Reinforce internal control procedures to maintain the integrity of the global financial control environment

Variance Analysis Support

  • Support the Finance Manager – Quality in reviewing monthly and quarterly variances between actual results and plan or forecast
  • Assist in collecting and consolidating supporting documentation from business unit controllers to validate root causes of fluctuations
  • Prepare clear summary schedules and initial findings on variance drivers for executive reporting packages
  • Contribute directly to reports prepared for the Global Assurance Manager and Global Corporate Controller

Compliance & Remediation Tracking

  • Maintain the tracking log for all open audit findings, control deficiencies, and mandatory reconciliation adjustment items
  • Coordinate follow-up with regional controllers and finance staff to ensure remediation plans are executed on time and effectively
  • Provide regular remediation status updates to management, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks globally
  • Actively support internal and external audit teams by compiling and delivering requested reconciliation and variance documentation

Process Improvement & Quality Metrics

  • Provide constructive feedback to the Finance Manager – Quality on opportunities to improve BSR process efficiency and standardisation
  • Assist in preparing periodic quality metrics, dashboards, and status reports communicating the health of the global control environment
  • Contribute insights that enhance the standardisation and quality of financial assurance processes across all global regions

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field — required for this role

Experience Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting, financial analysis, internal audit, or financial reporting
  • Prior experience working within a multinational or global finance environment is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with a dedicated reconciliation tool such as Oracle ARCS or Blackline is a significant advantage

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Foundational knowledge of financial controls including SOX, and global accounting standards IFRS and GAAP
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial schedule preparation
  • Experience with major ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is considered a valuable plus for this role
  • Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines independently
