Position Overview
This Inspector – Electrical role at KEO involves attending to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors, reviewing submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, local codes, and international best practice, and monitoring the quality and safety of electrical works on site. You will maintain daily site records, prepare surveillance and non-conformance reports, and coordinate closely with other disciplines to resolve technical issues across building projects in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Drawing Review
- Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the contractor and take timely action
- Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, and local codes
- Ensure compliance with international best practice and statutory requirements
- Report any contractor works not in accordance with approved drawings to stakeholders
Quality, Safety & Site Monitoring
- Monitor the quality of works and assess site safety, health, and environmental issues
- Ensure compliance with contractual and QCS specifications across all electrical works
- Conduct safety and health risk assessments throughout site activities
- Maintain daily activity records, including progress photos, ready for inspection
Reporting & Non-Conformance Management
- Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies identified on site
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required based on the development of events
- Maintain accurate, accessible documentation supporting project quality records
Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Ensure effective coordination between electrical and all other discipline-related works
- Provide technical input and experience to resolve discipline-related issues on site
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to maintain consistent quality across all trades
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering or inspection
- Experience gained from working on buildings projects in Abu Dhabi is preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of QCS specifications and local statutory requirements
- Ability to review shop drawings against contract documents and international codes
- Strong reporting and documentation skills for surveillance and NCR preparation
- Excellent coordination skills across multidisciplinary project teams
