Position Overview
The QHSE Supervisor at KITCO UAE leads and supervises Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety systems across the company’s snacks manufacturing operations. This role ensures full compliance with ISO standards, HACCP, GMP, and UAE regulatory requirements, while actively driving safety culture, audits, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will oversee daily QHSE operations across production, warehouse, and support areas, lead incident investigations, manage internal and external audits, and guide employees on best-practice QHSE behaviors — all while contributing to KITCO’s proud legacy of quality snacks across the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities
QHSE Operations & Compliance Management
- Lead and supervise Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety systems across all snacks manufacturing operations
- Ensure full compliance with ISO standards, HACCP principles, GMP requirements, and applicable UAE regulatory frameworks
- Oversee daily QHSE operations across production, warehouse, and support areas to maintain consistent quality and safety standards
- Support sustainability and environmental programs in line with Mezzan Holding’s broader corporate responsibility commitments
Audits, Inspections & Risk Management
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, risk assessments, and food safety checks across all manufacturing and storage areas
- Manage internal and external audits including ISO audits, customer audits, regulatory inspections, and certification body assessments
- Lead incident, accident, and customer complaint investigations with thorough root-cause analysis and documentation
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are properly implemented, tracked, and verified for effectiveness
Documentation, Emergency Preparedness & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive QHSE documentation, reports, and compliance systems in line with ISO and HACCP requirements
- Ensure emergency preparedness protocols and regular safety drills are conducted and properly documented
- Prepare structured QHSE reports for management review, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Maintain audit-ready documentation systems to support certification renewals and regulatory inspections at all times
Leadership, Training & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Guide employees on QHSE practices, food safety standards, and workplace safety awareness across all manufacturing shifts
- Conduct toolbox talks, training sessions, and new employee inductions focused on quality, health, safety, and environmental practices
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, HR, and supply chain to embed QHSE culture
- Promote a strong food safety and safety-first culture throughout the organization through consistent leadership and engagement
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
- Strong academic foundation in food safety management systems and regulatory compliance frameworks
Certification Requirements
- HACCP certification and ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 Internal Auditor certification — mandatory or strongly preferred
- NEBOSH or IOSH health and safety certification preferred for this role
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, HACCP, and GMP frameworks is essential
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in FMCG or food manufacturing quality, safety, or environmental functions
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory role, leading teams and managing QHSE programs in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, CAPA processes, and food safety incident investigations in a fast-paced production setting
