Position Overview

The Junior QA/QC Engineer role in Dubai is a critical on-site position responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality across all construction activities on high-rise and mid-rise building projects. You will implement and monitor quality assurance and control procedures, ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings, manage inspection documentation, and work closely with consultants and project teams to resolve quality issues efficiently and professionally.

Why This Role Matters: In Dubai’s booming construction sector, quality control is the backbone of every successful high-rise project. As a Junior QA/QC Engineer, you will be on the front line — ensuring every column, slab, and finish meets the exact standard required before it is approved. Your work directly protects the project, the client, and the company’s reputation on some of Dubai’s most prominent building developments in 2026.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control Implementation

  • Implement and actively monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures across all construction activities on-site to maintain consistent standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure all construction works are executed in full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable international and local building standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to proactively identify non-conformances before they escalate into costly defects or delays
  • Verify material quality upon delivery and ensure only approved materials are used in construction activities as per the approved submittals

NCR, MIR & ITR Management

  • Coordinate efficiently with project consultants and engineering teams to open, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in a timely and structured manner
  • Manage Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Inspection and Test Requests (ITRs) to ensure all work stages are inspected and formally approved before progression
  • Follow up on outstanding NCRs and ensure corrective actions are implemented, verified, and signed off by the relevant parties without unnecessary project delays
  • Maintain a well-organised register of all NCRs, MIRs, and ITRs for audit readiness and project reporting purposes

QA/QC Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare, update, and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation including inspection records, quality reports, test results, and method statement compliance records
  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for submission to project management, clients, and consultants as required
  • Ensure full traceability of all quality-related activities through accurate filing and documentation management systems
  • Support project close-out documentation and handover quality records to meet client and contractual requirements

Consultant & Team Coordination

  • Serve as the primary QA/QC interface between the site team, main contractor, and consultant representatives during all inspection and approval activities
  • Attend site meetings related to quality, technical submittals, and inspection sign-offs — representing the QA/QC function with professionalism and technical confidence
  • Communicate quality issues clearly and constructively to site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure immediate corrective action is taken
  • Support the QA/QC Manager in preparing and maintaining the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification from a recognised institution
  • Additional certifications in quality management or ISO standards are a strong advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on QA/QC experience in the UAE or GCC construction market — this is a strict minimum requirement
  • Proven track record working on high-rise or large-scale building projects in the UAE — mandatory for this position
  • Solid experience managing NCRs, MIRs, ITRs, and quality documentation in a live construction environment

Preferred Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of QA/QC standards, ISO 9001 procedures, and construction quality management systems
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills — ability to work effectively with consultants, clients, and multi-national site teams
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple inspection activities simultaneously under project time pressure
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with document management systems used in UAE construction projects
