Position Overview
This BMS Commissioning Engineer role leads commissioning activities for Building Management Systems across multiple projects, performing testing, troubleshooting, and functional performance testing of HVAC control systems. Key Responsibilities
BMS Commissioning & Testing
- Lead commissioning activities for Building Management Systems across multiple projects
- Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and functional performance testing of HVAC control systems
- Configure and commission DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, VAVs, FCUs, AHUs, Chillers, and Energy Valves
- Integrate third-party systems through BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LON/BACnet/MSTP, TCP/IP, and Profibus protocols
Drawing Review, Coordination & Compliance
- Review control shop drawings, I/O schedules, control logic, and sequence of operations
- Verify field installations and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients during project execution and handover
- Ensure compliance with project quality, safety, and commissioning standards
Documentation & Post-Handover Support
- Prepare commissioning reports, testing documentation, and handover packages
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities during the defect liability period
- Manage multiple commissioning projects simultaneously with strong documentation and reporting
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of BMS commissioning experience in the UAE/GCC
- Strong knowledge of Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls, or similar BMS platforms
- Experience in HVAC systems, Chiller Plants, Energy Management Systems, and Integrated Building Solutions
- Hands-on experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols
- BMS project installation, commissioning, and programming (graphical and/or coding)
