Key Responsibilities
Construction Supervision & EPC Contractor Oversight
- Supervise EPC contractor construction activities on site — ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project scope, and contractual obligations
- Monitor day-to-day construction progress across assigned project areas — identifying deviations from the approved execution plan and taking prompt, structured action to maintain program alignment
- Coordinate actively with EPC contractor site teams, sub-contractors, and specialist vendors to resolve construction issues efficiently and maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout
- Represent the PMC organization and asset owner client professionally on site — maintaining credible, respected authority with EPC contractor management and field engineering teams
Schedule Monitoring & Progress Reporting
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules — tracking construction milestones, activity completion, resource deployment, and material delivery across all assigned work packages
- Prepare accurate, structured, and timely daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports — providing clear, evidence-based project status updates to PMC management and client stakeholders
- Identify schedule deviations, risks, and emerging delays proactively — recommending and supporting corrective action plans that recover program slippage and protect project milestone commitments
- Support the PMC project controls team with site-verified progress data, earned value assessments, and construction quantity measurements across all project disciplines
Quality Assurance, QC & Documentation
- Enforce quality standards across all EPC contractor activities — reviewing and approving Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, material submittals, and testing and commissioning procedures
- Witness and verify inspection and testing activities — ensuring all construction works are inspected, tested, and documented to the required quality standards before advancement to the next construction phase
- Review engineering deliverables, as-built drawings, quality records, and technical documentation — maintaining a complete, organized, and audit-ready project documentation register throughout the project lifecycle
- Issue and manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) — tracking corrective action implementation and verifying effective close-out of all quality non-conformances raised during construction supervision
HSE Compliance & Safety Supervision
- Enforce site HSE requirements consistently across all EPC contractor operations — conducting regular site safety inspections, hazard identifications, and safety observation tours across all active work fronts
- Review and approve Permit to Work (PTW) systems, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and HSE method statements — ensuring all high-risk activities are appropriately planned, assessed, and authorized
- Report HSE observations, near misses, and incidents through the PMC reporting system — supporting root cause investigation and the implementation of corrective and preventive safety actions
- Promote a genuine safety-first culture across the project site — ensuring all parties understand, accept, and actively live the safety values expected by the client and PMC organization
Interface Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage technical and operational interfaces between EPC contractors, third-party vendors, sub-contractors, and client representatives across all assigned project scopes
- Attend and contribute to site progress meetings, technical coordination sessions, and project review meetings — representing the PMC organization with professional credibility and technical authority
- Support the escalation of unresolved technical, contractual, or safety issues to PMC management — providing complete, accurate, and professionally presented documentation to support timely resolution
- Maintain proactive, professional relationships with ADNOC or client representatives, regulatory authority inspectors, and third-party inspection agencies throughout the construction supervision period
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline — mandatory educational requirement for all applicants
- Professional Engineering certification (PE, CEng, or equivalent) is a strong advantage for this senior PMC supervision position
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8–15 years of professional engineering experience — with a substantial portion in PMC, EPCM, or construction supervision roles on major capital projects
- Proven experience working on ADNOC-aligned oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi or equivalent major Middle East EPC capital programs is strongly preferred
