- Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools — applying core engineering principles to coastal, marine, and structural design problems under the guidance of experienced project engineers and scientists
- Support the development and verification of numerical models and technical analyses — using tools such as MATLAB, AutoCAD, and marine modelling software to analyse site conditions, structural performance, and environmental data
- Conduct data input and analysis across a range of project types — preparing maps, technical tables, and figures that accurately represent field data, analysis results, and design outputs for inclusion in project reports and client deliverables
- Apply analytical problem-solving skills to support engineers in identifying practical, cost-effective solutions to complex coastal, marine, and structural engineering challenges across live UAE projects
Technical Writing & Documentation
- Contribute to technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals — producing clear, accurate, and professionally structured written content that meets Geosyntec’s quality standards and client communication requirements
- Support the preparation of engineering design documents, specifications, and technical proposals — ensuring all written outputs are factually accurate, technically sound, and formatted consistently with project and firm documentation standards
- Maintain well-organised project files and records — ensuring complete and accessible documentation of all calculations, analyses, correspondence, and technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist in preparing client-ready presentations, figures, and supporting materials — contributing to the professional quality of deliverables that represent Geosyntec’s and ATM’s international reputation for technical excellence
Team Coordination & Site Interaction
- Follow project instructions and interact professionally with engineers, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors, and construction personnel — demonstrating the teamwork, communication, and professional conduct that Geosyntec expects from all its engineers
- Coordinate effectively with CADD operators and draftsmen — providing clear technical direction for drawing production and reviewing outputs to ensure compliance with design intent and project specifications

Education, Qualifications & Skills
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related subject — required for this position
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in civil, geotechnical, coastal, water resources engineering, environmental science, or a related subject — preferred and will strengthen an application significantly
Technical Skills & Experience
- Experience with MATLAB for engineering calculations and data analysis is strongly preferred — demonstrating computational engineering capability relevant to coastal and marine modelling tasks
- Experience with AutoCAD for technical drawing production and review is strongly preferred — supporting effective collaboration with CADD operators and drawing coordination on engineering projects
- Experience with numerical marine modelling software is a strong plus — indicating familiarity with the computational tools used in coastal hydrodynamics, wave modelling, and marine engineering analysis
