Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Supervisor at Yaumi International Bakeries in Dubai is a hands-on, cross-functional quality leadership role responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s food quality and safety standards across production, QSR customer relationships, supply chain, retail operations, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the full complaint handling lifecycle — registering complaints, assigning and tracking investigations, obtaining CCIR reports from QA teams, and sharing structured responses with stakeholders and customers. You will coordinate corrective action plans, liaise with QSR customers on product consistency through cutting sessions, manage product return verification with supply chain and retail teams, support new product development approvals, visit depots and customer sites for field quality investigations, coordinate SFDA and Baladiya compliance activities, review product artworks, prepare product registrations, and deliver bilingual QA training to production staff — in both English and Arabic.
Why This Role Matters: At Yaumi International Bakeries, the Quality Assurance Supervisor is the operational connector between the production floor and every external quality touchpoint — QSR customers, regulatory authorities, depots, retail outlets, and the end consumer. When a complaint comes in, you register, investigate, and close it with a structured CCIR. When a QSR customer has product consistency concerns, you sit in cutting sessions and find the answer. When SFDA arrives for an inspection, you coordinate the response. When a new product goes to a customer, your approval gives it the green light. In Dubai’s competitive food manufacturing market, this QA Supervisor role has genuine daily authority, regulatory significance, and a direct line to food quality outcomes that reach thousands of consumers every single week.
Key Responsibilities
Complaint Handling & CCIR Management
- Lead the full complaint handling process — register incoming complaints, assign investigations to relevant QA personnel, and track resolution progress
- Obtain Customer Complaint Investigation Reports (CCIRs) from the QA team and share structured, professional responses with stakeholders and customers
- Maintain an accurate and always up-to-date complaint tracker covering all open and resolved cases across all customer channels
- Coordinate with internal teams to implement corrective action plans (CAPs) arising from complaints and monitor their effective completion
QSR Customer & Retail Quality Management
- Liaise with QSR customers for external and internal product cutting sessions to ensure product consistency meets agreed specifications
- Work with Supply Chain and Retail teams on product return verification and control — ensuring non-conforming products are properly managed
- Collaborate with QSR and Production teams during new product development, sample preparation, and customer approval processes
- Visit depots, outlets, and customer sites regularly to investigate product quality issues in the field and implement corrective measures
Regulatory Affairs & Product Registration
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs for SFDA and Baladiya visits — ensuring all QA-related documentation and compliance requirements are in order
- Prepare and submit product registrations on SFDA and other relevant export portals accurately and within required timelines
- Review and verify product artworks developed by the lab — ensuring regulatory compliance, accuracy, and alignment with approved specifications
- Maintain awareness of applicable food regulations and coordinate proactively with Regulatory Affairs on any changes affecting product compliance
QA Training & Specification Management
- Prepare and conduct finished goods (FG) specification training for production staff — including bilingual training sessions delivered in Arabic to enhance team competence
- Ensure all production staff are fully trained, up-to-date, and competent on product specifications, quality standards, and QA procedures
- Develop and maintain QA training materials, checklists, and documentation to support consistent quality knowledge across the production team
- Coordinate with QA management on the review and update of quality procedures, specifications, and work instructions as products or processes change
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a closely related food science or quality discipline
- Additional certifications in HACCP, food safety management, or quality assurance systems are a meaningful advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory quality inspection or quality assurance role within a food manufacturing environment
- Bakery manufacturing QA experience is strongly preferred and will be a significant advantage in the selection process
- Familiarity with SFDA regulations, product registration processes, and UAE food regulatory compliance requirements
- Practical experience in complaint handling, CAP coordination, CCIR preparation, and QSR customer quality management
- Ability to conduct QA training in both English and Arabic — bilingual training delivery is a stated requirement for this role
