Position Overview
The QHSE Manager at AlphaMind is accountable for the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental performance of the group’s multi-outlet restaurant operations across the UAE. You will develop and implement standardized QHSE policies, procedures, and systems; ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and the Dubai Municipality Food Code; oversee HACCP, allergen management, hygiene, and contamination prevention; conduct regular internal audits and outlet inspections; lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis; manage CAPA to timely closure; establish workplace safety, fire safety, and emergency preparedness procedures; deliver food safety and HSE training to managers, chefs, PICs, and food handlers; coordinate with authorities during regulatory inspections; and monitor QHSE KPIs, presenting findings and improvement plans to senior management — while working closely with Operations, Culinary, and HR to embed a strong culture of food safety and accountability.
Why This Role Matters: In Dubai’s luxury hospitality sector, a single food safety incident, allergen error, or workplace accident can damage a brand’s reputation overnight and put guests and team members at real risk. As QHSE Manager for AlphaMind, you are the professional who prevents that — by turning regulatory requirements and international standards into practical, consistent routines that chefs, managers, and service teams can follow every single shift. Your leadership protects guests, supports the people who serve them, and safeguards the brands that AlphaMind has worked hard to build.
Key Responsibilities
QHSE Strategy, Policy Development & Regulatory Compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and systems across all AlphaMind restaurant outlets — creating one consistent framework that every venue, from fine dining to beach club, can follow with confidence
- Ensure full compliance with UAE food safety regulations, the Dubai Municipality Food Code, and all applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation — keeping the group current as regulations evolve and translating requirements into clear, practical operating standards
- Coordinate with UAE authorities during inspections, audits, and compliance assessments — ensuring documentation is complete, operational standards are visibly met, and any findings are addressed promptly and professionally
Food Safety Management — HACCP, Allergens & Hygiene
- Oversee food safety systems and HACCP implementation across all outlets — ensuring hazard analyses, critical control points, monitoring records, and verification activities are current, effective, and consistently applied in every kitchen
- Manage allergen control, hygiene standards, food handling practices, and contamination prevention — with particular rigor in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant and lounge environments where allergen cross-contact and temperature control risks are constant
Multi-Site Audits, Inspections & CAPA
- Conduct regular internal audits, outlet inspections, and compliance assessments across all venues — identifying risks, monitoring standards, and ensuring consistent implementation of QHSE procedures at every location in the group
- Monitor audit findings and non-conformities, and drive timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) — ensuring improvements are sustainable and that the same issues do not recur from outlet to outlet
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis — implementing practical preventive measures that reduce the likelihood and impact of future incidents across the group
Health, Safety & Environment
- Establish and monitor workplace safety procedures, emergency preparedness, fire safety, and accident prevention measures across all venues — protecting both guests and team members in demanding hospitality environments
- Promote responsible environmental management practices — including waste management, resource efficiency, and compliance with applicable environmental requirements across restaurant operations
Training, Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Conduct and coordinate food safety, hygiene, and HSE training for restaurant managers, chefs, Persons in Charge (PICs), and food handlers — ensuring all training meets applicable Dubai Municipality requirements
- Work closely with Operations, Culinary, HR, and other departments to embed a strong culture of food safety, workplace safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the group
QHSE Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and monitor QHSE KPIs, analyze audit results and incident trends, prepare clear performance reports, and present improvement plans to senior management with practical, evidence-based recommendations
- Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities — implementing best practices that drive consistent quality and compliance standards across every AlphaMind restaurant operation
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a closely related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in QHSE, food safety, or quality assurance — preferably within a restaurant chain or hospitality group
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial role overseeing multiple restaurant outlets — with proven ability to implement standardized QHSE policies, conduct outlet inspections, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions across all locations
- Strong understanding of UAE food safety regulations and the Dubai Municipality Food Code, alongside applicable occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements
Technical & Leadership Competencies
- Hands-on experience in internal audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, allergen management, food safety systems, CAPA, emergency preparedness, and regulatory inspections
