Quality Assurance Supervisor Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Supervisor role is where quality meets the customer. Quick-service restaurants and retail partners rely on bakery products that look, taste, and perform the same way every time, and when something falls short, the quality team has to respond quickly and fairly. Complaint handling is central to the job. You’ll register each complaint, assign the investigation, gather the findings from QA, and make sure the response reaches the stakeholder or customer who raised it. Corrective and preventive actions follow, and you’ll coordinate the teams involved, track progress in an up-to-date complaint tracker, and confirm that agreed actions are carried through. Field work matters too. You’ll visit depots, outlets, and customer sites to look at product issues at first hand, and you’ll verify returned products with supply chain and retail colleagues so that nothing is missed. Working closely with QSR customers, you’ll arrange product cutting sessions, both external and internal, to check that the product matches what the customer expects. New products need careful handling as well. You’ll coordinate with QSR and production teams on development, samples, and approvals, and you’ll review the product artworks prepared by the laboratory. Regulatory work runs alongside all of this. You’ll liaise with regulatory affairs on SFDA and municipal visits, prepare product registrations on SFDA and export portals, and keep documentation ready for inspection. Finally, you’ll train production staff on finished-goods specifications, delivering sessions in Arabic where that helps the team build competence on the floor.
As Quality Assurance Supervisor, you’ll deepen your command of bakery quality, complaint and corrective action systems, and regulatory registration, while building the coaching and communication skills that make a quality team effective. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in food technology, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field, and brings two to four years of supervisory experience in quality inspection or quality assurance within food manufacturing, with bakery experience preferred. Strong analytical skills, a clear approach to customer communication, and comfort working across production, supply chain, retail, and regulatory teams are important. Confidence in training others, including in Arabic, will be valued. For quality professionals in Dubai who want to lead quality on a bakery production line and work directly with QSR and retail customers, this role offers a practical and visible position.
Why This Role Matters: As Quality Assurance Supervisor at Yaumi International Bakeries, you protect the reputation of bakery products with customers across the UAE, resolve complaints in a way that builds trust, drive corrective actions that stop problems from returning, keep product registrations and regulatory files in order, train production teams to meet specification, and grow a senior career in food quality assurance.
