Position Overview
The Inventory Officer is responsible for developing and implementing strategic operations related to inventory management, product distribution, asset calculation, and inventory registration through the inventory management system, supporting the smooth operation of Abu Dhabi BioBank and Biogenix Labs’ cutting-edge research facilities.
Why This Role Matters:Â As Inventory Officer at M42, you manage stock availability and safety levels for a leading biobanking and genomics research facility, ensure compliance with ISO, DOH, and company standards across all inventory operations, maintain accurate ERP records and prepare monthly and quarterly inventory reports, coordinate the safe handling of chemicals and hazardous materials with Quality and Facilities teams, support import and export activities in compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute directly to uninterrupted laboratory operations powering groundbreaking genomics and precision medicine research.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Operations & Compliance
- Manage inventory operations to ensure stock availability and maintain safety stock levels
- Prevent wastage and ensure compliance with ISO, DOH, and company standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and Facilities teams for efficient sourcing and order fulfillment
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials
Records & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system
- Conduct stock reconciliations and prepare monthly and quarterly inventory reports
Order Processing & Laboratory Support
- Process end-user requests, manage purchase requisitions, and follow up on orders
- Support uninterrupted laboratory operations across BioBank and Biogenix Labs facilities
Import/Export & Logistics Support
- Support import and export activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide backup support to the Logistics function as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or customer service
- Healthcare or biomedical industry experience is an advantage
Essential Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and warehouse management
