Position Overview
This Lead AI Engineer role at QuantumFy Group calls for a senior technical leader who can own delivery of a national-scale AI platform end to end. You will design the data integration layer across legacy government systems, build entity resolution and graph analytics capability, deploy ML risk-scoring models with drift monitoring, implement LLM and RAG components with strict guardrails, and lead a senior squad while standing in front of a government steering committee alongside company leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture & Delivery
- Own the technical delivery of the platform end to end
- Design and lead the build of the data foundation and integration layer across legacy government systems
- Develop entity resolution and graph analytics capability for pattern detection
- Build the orchestration and audit layer that makes every recommendation traceable
Machine Learning & AI Systems
- Build ML risk-scoring models with drift monitoring and outcome feedback loops
- Develop LLM and RAG components for case intelligence with regulatory-grade guardrails
- Design and deploy deep learning models for neural networks and pattern recognition in production
- Build explainable, auditable NLP models suited to regulated environments
MLOps & Infrastructure
- Deploy on Kubernetes and hybrid cloud/on-premise infrastructure, including sovereign or air-gapped environments
- Implement MLOps practices including CI/CD for ML, containerization, and model lifecycle management
- Apply a security and privacy mindset fluent in GDPR and the EU AI Act
- Ensure AI systems comply with financial services, energy, healthcare, or government regulatory standards
Team Leadership & Client Representation
- Lead a senior engineering squad and set technical standards across the team
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional technical teams
- Represent the technical solution in front of a demanding institutional client
- Stand alongside company leadership before a government steering committee
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, with expertise in software development and scalable system design
Experience Requirements
- 8+ years of production engineering experience with deep Python expertise (Minimum requirement)
- Experience with distributed data platforms such as Spark, Kafka, or equivalents
- Hands-on experience with graph databases and entity resolution at scale
- Experience in tax, financial crime, fraud, or other regulated-data domains is a strong advantage
Essential Skill
- Applied ML in production, including risk scoring, anomaly detection, and modern LLM/RAG architecture
- Proficiency in Python, Java/Scala, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and distributed computing frameworks
- Kubernetes and hybrid cloud/on-premise deployment experience, including sovereign environments
- Fluent English required; Hungarian is a plus
