Position Overview
This Engineer – Equipment Maintenance role performs installation, testing, and maintenance of 400/132 kV transmission substation equipment, maintaining and troubleshooting GIS, Power Transformers, and Shunt Reactors. You will diagnose faults in circuit breakers, disconnectors, earth switches, control schemes, interlocks, and alarm systems, respond to equipment alarms and support root cause analysis, ensure safe working practices in live substations, and read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.

- Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of 400/132 kV transmission substation equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot GIS, Power Transformers, Shunt Reactors, and associated auxiliary systems
Fault Diagnosis & Root Cause Analysis
- Diagnose faults in circuit breakers, disconnectors, earth switches, control schemes, interlocks, and alarm systems
- Respond to equipment alarms, investigate technical issues, and support root cause analysis
Safety & Technical Documentation
- Ensure safe working practices while performing maintenance in live transmission substations
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentation

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 7 years of experience with a Diploma
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with GIS, Power Transformers, and Shunt Reactors
- Ability to diagnose faults in circuit breakers, disconnectors, and control/interlock/alarm systems
