Position Overview
The Supervisor is primarily responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, organizing, and controlling the flow of all materials in and out of the Stores. The role also oversees and manages all shipment, customs clearance, and forwarding activities to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant logistics operations, working under the supervision of the Team Leader, SCM to facilitate daily Stores operations of explosive and non-explosive stores.
Why This Role Matters: As Stores Supervisor at LAHAB, you manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of critical materials including ammunition, explosives, and hazardous materials after thorough on-the-job training, ensure explosive limits and storage compliance align with strict regulatory and safety requirements, oversee shipment, customs clearance, and forwarding activities including MOD & GHQ coordination, maintain accuracy between physical and system stock through AX inventory management and regular stock takes, uphold rigorous HSE standards across all handling, transport, and storage operations, and contribute directly to strengthening the UAE’s sovereign defence capabilities within a strategic, advanced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Stores Operations & Material Handling
- Facilitate daily Stores operations of explosive and non-explosive stores
- Handle goods, components, ammunitions, explosives, and hazardous materials after thorough on-the-job training
- Ensure explosive limits of stores are maintained within allowed thresholds
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Receive incoming shipments, offloading using forklifts and requisite equipment
- Inspect items for quality and quantity against shipment documentation
- Enter data into stock/inventory control systems and participate in bi-annual physical stock takes
- Ensure all transactions are posted in AX, with physical and system stock matching at all times
Shipment, Customs & Compliance
- Support and manage staff executing shipment, customs clearance, and forwarding activities
- Ensure timely clearance of all import and export shipments, with zero demurrage/storage payments
- Coordinate MOD & GHQ arrangements, particularly for explosive and ammunition shipments
HSE & Operational Excellence
- Ensure HSE objectives, guidelines, and audit requirements are consistently met
- Ensure ammunition and explosives are transported in accordance with legal and safety requirements
- Deliver operational excellence across store appearance, stock control, and safety and security

Educational Requirements
- Certified Warehouse & Logistics qualification or training
Experience Requirements
- Minimum three to six years of experience in Warehousing and Logistics
- Understanding of confidentiality matters pertaining to Procurement & Supplier Qualifications
