Position Overview

This Supply Chain Management role at Siemens Mobility’s Munich-Allach plant develops systematic and strategic SCM solutions in collaboration with IT, manufacturing, and logistics service providers. You will analyze processes, identify improvements and weaknesses, combine process requirements with SAP PP, MM, and SD capabilities, drive implementation forward with interface partners, act as SAP first-level support for departments, conduct workshops and training sessions, create process documentation, advise departments on process optimization decisions, and participate in cross-plant harmonization projects within the Siemens Mobility network.

Key Responsibilities

SCM Solution Development & Process Analysis

  • Develop systematic and strategic supply chain management solutions at the Munich-Allach plant in collaboration with IT, manufacturing, and logistics service providers
  • Analyze processes, identify potential improvements and weaknesses, and independently derive and implement improvements from these findings
  • Combine process requirements with SAP PP, MM, and SD system capabilities to develop and drive practical implementation

SAP Key User & First-Level Support

  • Act as the plant’s key user for SAP modules PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), and SD (Sales & Distribution)
  • Provide SAP first-level support for the relevant departments at the Munich-Allach plant
  • Test system processes and actively support their implementation during rollout phases

Training, Workshops & Process Documentation

  • Proactively conduct workshops and training sessions to ensure sustainable implementation of developed SCM processes
  • Create practical process documentation for efficient reference and continuous departmental use
  • Actively support affected departments during the implementation phase of process changes

Business Partnering & Cross-Plant Collaboration

  • Act as a professional sparring partner for logistics and interface areas, advising departments on process optimization decisions
  • Work on cross-plant projects to harmonize and standardize supply chain processes within the Siemens Mobility plant network
  • Exchange best practices across the global plant network to drive continuous SCM improvement

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Logistics, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience Requirements

  • Several years of experience in supply chain management within an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Strong SAP application skills in PP, MM, and SD modules with understanding of how process design and system processes interconnect
  • Ideally already an SAP key user, with familiarity with APS systems for detailed production planning

Skills & Language Requirements

  • Very good understanding of processes with the ability to implement pragmatic solutions — ideally with close ties to the shop floor
  • Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and enjoyment of working with diverse interface partners
  • Fluent German and English — both written and spoken — are required for this role
