Position Overview
This Estimator cum Quantity Surveyor role reviews tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs, performing detailed quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and design packages. You will prepare detailed cost estimates across villa renovations, commercial fit-outs, custom joinery, pools, and MEP works, request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams, prepare commercial proposals and tender submissions, and identify scope gaps, design conflicts, and commercial risks during the tender stage.

Key Responsibilities
Document Review & Quantity Take-Offs
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings, PDFs, and design packages
Cost Estimating Across Project Types
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for villa/apartment renovations and commercial fit-out projects
- Estimate kitchens, wardrobes, TV units, vanities, and custom joinery works
- Estimate swimming pools, landscaping, pergolas, and external works
- Estimate flooring, gypsum works, bathroom renovations, and MEP-related works
Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination
- Analyze drawings, renders, and specifications to identify all project cost components
- Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Coordinate closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management teams
Tender Preparation & Risk Identification
- Prepare commercial proposals, BOQs, and tender submissions
- Identify scope gaps, design conflicts, and commercial risks during the tender stage
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in estimating and quantity surveying
- Proven UAE experience pricing both interior fit-out and custom joinery works
- Strong experience preparing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and design packages
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of UAE construction methods, supplier pricing, and subcontractor rates
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, joinery, structural, and MEP drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and project management software
Essential Skills
- Ability to independently prepare complete project estimates from concept to tender submission
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
