Position Overview
This Quality Control Inspector role reviews material submittals, ITPs, and method statements related to civil, mechanical, and electrical works, ensuring compliance with project requirements. You will conduct inspections at various construction stages to verify materials and workmanship, verify construction activities align with approved drawings and codes, inspect materials including soil, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete, monitor earthworks, paving, and drainage installation, and participate in final inspections confirming quality standards before handover.

Key Responsibilities
Project Documentation Review
- Review material submittals, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and method statements related to civil, mechanical, and electrical works
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and provide feedback to the Works Agency QA/QC Manager
Civil Inspection Activities
- Conduct inspections at various construction stages to verify materials, equipment, and workmanship compliance
- Verify construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes
- Inspect and verify the quality of soil, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, and other construction materials
Construction Activity Monitoring
- Monitor earthworks including cutting, filling, and compaction
- Monitor asphalt paving and concrete works
- Monitor installation of drainage pipes, culverts, and manholes
- Monitor retaining walls, bridges, tunnels, dams, and related structures
Final Inspection & Handover
- Participate in final inspections to confirm all work meets required quality standards before the handover phase
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in QC roles related to road and infrastructure construction (mandatory)
Certifications
- Relevant certifications in construction quality control, such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CSWIP, BGAS/ASNT, IEC, NEC, or local standards
- Proficiency in material testing standards (BS, ASTM, AASHTO)
