Position Overview
This Accounting & Tax Coordinator role at Golden Goose involves overseeing end-to-end general ledger activities, month-end and year-end closing processes aligned with IFRS and local accounting standards, coordinating VAT and Corporate Tax submissions with external consultants, managing intercompany reconciliations with global HQ, supervising the SAP Fixed Assets ledger, mentoring junior finance team members, leading audit processes across MEINA countries, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Financial Closing
- Oversee end-to-end general ledger activities across MEINA operations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes with precision
- Ensure strict alignment with IFRS and local accounting standards
Tax Compliance & Coordination
- Act as primary regional point of contact for all tax-related matters
- Coordinate with external consultants on timely VAT and Corporate Tax return submissions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE tax regulations and reporting deadlines
Reconciliation & Fixed Assets Management
- Oversee intercompany (IC) reconciliations with global HQ
- Manage the SAP Fixed Assets ledger, including depreciation runs
- Support asset capitalization for retail store openings and expansions
Team Leadership & Audit Management
- Supervise, mentor, and review outputs of junior finance team members
- Champion a collaborative “one team” spirit across the finance function
- Lead external and internal audit processes across MEINA countries
- Prepare comprehensive financial documentation and statutory statements
Strategic Finance Partnership
- Act as primary contact for external tax advisors and statutory auditors
- Partner with the Regional Head of Finance on budgeting and forecasting
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic retail decision-making
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA considered a strong plus
Experience Requirements
- 5–7 years of robust experience in Accounting & Tax roles
- Preferably within the Luxury/Retail sector or a Big 4 auditing firm
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of IFRS and Middle East tax regulations (UAE Corporate Tax and VAT)
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Solid experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Stealth)
- Exceptional analytical mindset and extreme attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, disruptive business environment
- Fluency in English is mandatory
