Position Overview
This CNC Bending Machine Operator role involves setting up and operating CNC bending machines to bend sheet metal and other materials, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, selecting tools and machine settings, loading materials and performing test runs, monitoring machine performance and adjusting parameters, inspecting finished parts for quality and dimensional accuracy, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with supervisors and team members to meet production targets.

- Set up and operate CNC bending machines to bend sheet metal and other materials per technical drawings
- Select appropriate tools and machine settings, and perform test runs to ensure accuracy

- Monitor machine performance and adjust parameters as needed
- Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensions and compliance with safety standards

- Perform routine machine maintenance

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in CNC or metal fabrication roles is preferred
- Vocational training or certification in machining or fabrication is an advantage
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications and work orders
- Hands-on experience operating CNC bending machines or press brakes, including setup and programming
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes, materials (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and bending techniques
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills for routine maintenance
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and safe machine operation
- Attention to detail and quality control skills, including calipers, gauges and inspection tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights safely
