Position Overview
As Data Scientist, you develop, train and optimise statistical models, machine learning methods and AI applications. You analyse data, find patterns and trends and turn them into reliable recommendations. You build forecasting, segmentation and recommendation systems, validate your models and keep improving them. You also create automation and AI solutions based on large language models and generative AI, prepare data from different sources, advise internal stakeholders and bring new developments in data science into daily practice.

Modelling & AI
- Develop, train and optimise statistical models, machine learning and AI applications
- Build forecasting, segmentation and recommendation systems

- Prepare and structure data sources and develop features
- Derive reliable recommendations for the business
Automation & Innovation
- Create data-driven automation and AI solutions, e.g. with large language models and generative AI
- Advise internal stakeholders and translate needs into technical solutions
- Follow new developments in data science, ML and AI
Qualifications
Required
- Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business informatics, physics or similar
- Good knowledge of statistics, empirical data analysis and machine learning
- Practical experience with Python for data science, data preparation and modelling
- Ability to present results clearly and give concrete recommendations
- English at least C1; German B1 desirable
Nice to Have
- Deeper ML, AI or analytics knowledge through study or certification
- Cloud or analytics platform experience
- Data engineering, MLOps or software development skills
- Generative AI, prompt engineering or RAG experience
- Marketing analytics or data-driven business models
