The primary focus of this role is coordinating truck drivers on delivery trips, liaising with suppliers for truck loading and clients for discharge, and working with terminal operators to keep loading and discharging running smoothly, on a 12-hour shift basis.

 Position Overview
This Dispatcher role involves planning daily delivery trips, assigning trucks and drivers, and coordinating with drivers before, during, and after each trip to ensure on-time deliveries. You will coordinate terminal loading and discharge, manage fleet maintenance and vehicle compliance with the RTA, support inventory and stock coordination, and promote HSE policies and safe operating procedures across fleet and yard activities.

Key Responsibilities
Trip Planning & Driver Coordination
- Plan daily delivery trips and assign trucks and drivers according to the delivery schedule
- Coordinate with truck drivers before, during, and after each trip to ensure on-time deliveries
- Coordinate with suppliers for loading appointments and clients for discharge arrangements
- Calculate, verify, and process driver trip allowances accurately based on completed trips
Terminal Loading & Fleet Compliance
- Coordinate with terminal operators for loading and discharging of trucks
- Schedule truck arrivals at the terminal and allocate loading slots based on operational requirements
- Coordinate with the mechanic to schedule truck repairs and preventive maintenance
- Manage truck registration renewals with the RTA and ensure documents and permits remain valid
- Monitor traffic fines and follow up corrective action with drivers concerned
Inventory, HSE & Team Coordination
- Support tank gauging, inventory reconciliation, and stock movement verification
- Follow and promote company HSE policies and safe operating procedures across fleet and yard activities
- Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings, ensuring proper PPE usage
- Coordinate and monitor daily activities of truck drivers, guiding on trip procedures and documentation
- Prepare daily trip, delivery, stock, and shift handover reports
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fuel distribution, terminal, depot, or petroleum transport operations
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a dispatcher or fleet coordinator
- 3+ years of experience in distribution and 3+ years of Oil and Gas experience
- Experience coordinating tanker fleets and delivery schedules strongly preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of fuel distribution, fleet dispatch, and terminal operations
- Experience with tanker loading/unloading scheduling and delivery planning
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards related to petroleum operations and road transport
- Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor terminal environment across 12-hour shifts
