Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning, Execution & Technical Support
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate maintenance activities for a wide range of instrument and control systems across the plant
- Provide technical support in the field for the execution of critical maintenance activities — ensuring problems are resolved with minimum plant downtime
- Evaluate, allocate, and arrange manpower requirements for daily preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance plans

Root Cause Analysis & Equipment Reliability
- Conduct and implement root cause analysis of equipment failures and non-scheduled shutdowns — recommending problem resolutions to increase reliability and availability
- Assess workload, backlog, and the work plan — coordinating with relevant sections to complete the plan and arranging resources for effective compliance
- Provide input to prepare and track forthcoming major maintenance, upgrades, and obsolescence issues integrated with the division’s 5-year rolling business plans
- Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical sections to establish seamless integration between operation and maintenance teams ensuring compliance with planned activities
Project Technical Support & Contractor Management
- Provide technical support for development, implementation, and commissioning of new projects — including mechanical design review and specifications to optimize costs and ensure standards compliance
- Participate in defining technical requirements, technical bid evaluation, and inspection of materials on receipt to ensure specifications and required quality are met
- Monitor the performance of contractors for assigned works — ensuring quality standards and contractual requirements are consistently maintained
- Provide support to operations and maintenance teams for equipment testing, troubleshooting, routine surveillance, and plant start-up activities
HSE, Policies, Continuous Improvement & Reporting

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification (REQUIRED)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Instrumentation and Control engineering and maintenance within a large industrial organization (REQUIRED)
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry is strongly preferred
- Proven experience in preventive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance of instrument and control systems in an industrial plant environment
