 Position Overview

The Façade Site Engineer at AESG Dubai is a technically demanding, client-facing consultancy role responsible for delivering expert façade engineering services on active construction sites across the UAE and wider Middle East. You will provide on-site oversight for façade installation activities, conduct quality inspections, witness performance testing, and prepare detailed technical reports — all as a representative of one of the most respected façade engineering consultancies in the region.

This role also includes active participation in business development alongside project execution — giving you visibility beyond the site and into the commercial and client-facing dimensions of specialist consultancy work. For a façade engineer who wants to grow their career within a globally recognised, multi-disciplinary firm, AESG Dubai in 2026 is exactly the right environment.

Why This Role Matters: Façade engineering is one of the most technically complex and commercially critical disciplines in modern construction — sitting at the intersection of structural performance, thermal efficiency, water resistance, aesthetics, and safety compliance. As a Façade Site Engineer at AESG, you will be the eyes and ears on-site that ensure every cladding panel, curtain wall joint, and sealant application meets the exacting standards that iconic Dubai projects demand. Your expertise directly protects the client, the building, and AESG’s reputation as an industry leader.

 Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Compliance Monitoring

  • Oversee all façade installation activities on-site — ensuring that every element of the installation process fully aligns with approved architectural drawings, engineering specifications, and project contractual requirements
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance against defined installation sequences, method statements, and quality benchmarks — intervening promptly when deviations or non-compliant practices are identified
  • Review and assess shop drawings, material submittals, and installation method statements submitted by façade contractors — verifying compliance with project specifications and AESG’s engineering standards before approving for construction
  • Coordinate with the main contractor, façade subcontractor, architect, and structural engineer on-site — ensuring all parties maintain alignment with the approved façade design intent and project programme requirements

Quality Control & Inspections

  • Conduct structured, routine site inspections of façade installation works — systematically monitoring workmanship quality, material condition, fixings, sealants, joints, and interface details against contract and specification requirements
  • Verify that installation methods and sequencing used by the contractor meet the required quality standards, safety requirements, and the approved method statements for each façade system element
  • Issue inspection checklists, quality hold points, and witness inspection requests to ensure no critical installation stage proceeds without formal AESG sign-off at the appropriate stage of the work
  • Identify and formally document non-conformances, defective workmanship, and material quality issues — raising NCRs and following up to ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified before the work proceeds

Testing & Commissioning Oversight

  • Witness and oversee façade performance tests including water infiltration testing, air permeability testing, and structural integrity assessments — verifying that all tested components and assemblies meet the specified functional and safety performance requirements
  • Review and assess test protocols, test reports, and results produced by façade testing laboratories — ensuring all testing methodologies comply with applicable international standards and project specification requirements
  • Track and manage outstanding test requirements across the project programme — ensuring all required tests are planned, scheduled, and completed within the project timeline and in advance of any handover milestones
  • Verify that all façade components and systems comply with applicable fire performance, thermal performance, and structural performance requirements specified in the contract and local regulatory framework

Reporting, Documentation & Business Development

  • Prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured site reports covering installation progress, inspection findings, outstanding actions, quality status, and test results — for submission to the project team and client on a regular basis
  • Track overall façade installation progress against the project programme — documenting deviations, delays, and non-conformities with supporting photographic evidence and formal NCR records
  • Maintain comprehensive site inspection records, photographic logs, and quality control documentation that provide a full and auditable record of the façade installation process throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in business development activities related to AESG’s façade consultancy services — supporting proposals, client presentations, and technical submissions that contribute to the firm’s continued growth in the Middle East market

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree or equivalent qualification in a discipline relevant to façade engineering — such as Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Additional certifications or professional accreditations related to façade engineering, building envelope, or CWCT (Centre for Window and Cladding Technology) standards are a notable advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 4–8 years of direct façade engineering experience — covering site supervision, quality control, testing oversight, and technical documentation in a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Proven knowledge of façade systems and materials — including curtain wall systems, unitised cladding, stick systems, rainscreen cladding, structural glazing, and façade interface details
  • Hands-on experience in testing and compliance — with practical knowledge of façade performance testing methodologies and international testing standards applicable in the Middle East construction market

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software, Microsoft Office suite, and PDF document management tools — for reviewing drawings, preparing reports, and managing technical documentation efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities — able to identify site issues, assess options, and recommend practical, compliant solutions quickly in a fast-moving construction environment
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills — able to engage professionally with contractors, clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities across a multi-national project team
  • Solid health and safety awareness — understanding of UAE construction health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment on every site visit
