Position Overview
This Finance Controller role at TechnipFMC in Abu Dhabi is an integral member of the UAE team responsible for the overall financial management of aftermarket ME Geomarket operations. The role accepts full ownership of the period-end close process for assigned legal entities and business units, manages monthly forecasting of revenue, margin, and invoicing, ensures compliance with IFRS and legal/regulatory requirements, leads balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly P&L reviews, and works closely with the operations team to ensure KPIs and performance targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Forecasting
- Act as Business Partner to project and functional managers on costing, forecasting, budget preparation, and reporting
- Manage forecasting of revenue, margin, and invoicing for the whole business unit on a monthly basis
- Identify, investigate, and analyze any cost overruns within the assigned business unit
- Maximize cashflow and performance by implementing strong financial controls across the business unit
Period-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Accept full responsibility for the period-end close process for assigned legal entities and business units
- Prepare monthly forecasts for assigned legal entities and business units
- Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and lead quarterly Balance Sheet and P&L reviews
- Review the utilization of all assets and ensure all assets are properly recorded and utilized
Compliance, Governance & Audit
- Maintain compliance with company financial standards, legal, and regulatory requirements across multiple geographies
- Lead external and internal audits for assigned business units with full ownership of financial documentation
- Ensure strong application of accounting governance including IFRS revenue recognition standards
SAP S4/Hana Implementation Support
- Support the team in the implementation of SAP S4/Hana across assigned legal entities
- Lead change activity in the business ensuring financial benefits of the ERP implementation are delivered
Operational Performance & Improvement
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure KPIs and operational performance targets are achieved
- Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement opportunities as appropriate
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CFA, ACCA, or CA are a significant plus
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Solid accounting knowledge — particularly revenue and margin recognition over time, invoicing, cashflow, and working capital
- Experience in project accounting is preferred, ideally within a manufacturing or energy environment
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) — essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills — essential for financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting
- Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, is considered an advantage; SAP S4/Hana experience is highly desirable
