Position Overview

As a Food Safety Auditor at AssureCloud, you will be a trusted, independent expert operating within your home country — conducting rigorous food safety and hygiene audits across manufacturing facilities, retail environments, and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations. You will support certification pathways for key international standards including FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and HACCP, deliver clear and professional audit reports, and maintain direct, credible client relationships. AssureCloud’s integrated platform means you will have access to auditing tools, laboratory testing networks, training support, and supplier assurance frameworks — everything you need to deliver genuine, measurable food safety impact for your clients.

Why Join AssureCloud? This is not a conventional auditing role. When you join AssureCloud, you become part of a growing, tech-enabled food safety platform that connects auditors, laboratories, trainers, and supplier assurance specialists under one roof. You gain access to a powerful ecosystem that amplifies your professional impact, expands your client reach, and positions you as a recognised food safety authority in your region — all while working independently from your home country with the full backing of a scaling international organisation.

 Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Hygiene Auditing

  • Conduct thorough food safety and hygiene audits across food manufacturing facilities, retail operations, and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environments.
  • Evaluate compliance with national and international food safety regulations, industry standards, and client-specific audit requirements.
  • Identify non-conformances, food safety risks, and process vulnerabilities — documenting findings clearly and accurately in professional audit reports.
  • Engage directly and professionally with client teams during and after audits to discuss findings, corrective actions, and improvement pathways.

Supplier Audits & Assurance Programmes

  • Perform supplier audits on behalf of AssureCloud clients to assess and verify food safety standards across supply chains in your territory.
  • Support and manage client supplier assurance programmes including vendor qualification, ongoing monitoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Provide practical, actionable recommendations to suppliers and clients for improving supply chain food safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all supplier audit activities, findings, and corrective action follow-up within AssureCloud’s platform systems.

Certification Support — FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 / HACCP

  • Support clients through certification and recertification processes for internationally recognised food safety management systems.
  • Assist in gap analysis, pre-certification readiness assessments, and corrective action planning for FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and HACCP frameworks.
  • Guide client teams on documentation requirements, system implementation, and continuous improvement practices for certification maintenance.
  • Stay current with updates to GFSI-recognised schemes, regulatory changes, and emerging food safety standards relevant to your region.

Client Reporting & Professional Communication

  • Deliver high-quality, clear, structured audit reports that accurately reflect findings, risk ratings, and corrective action requirements for each client.
  • Communicate findings professionally and constructively — building trusted relationships with client quality and operations teams across your territory.
  • Present audit outcomes and food safety improvement recommendations in a manner that is accessible to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to client questions and follow-up queries arising from completed audits and assurance activities.

 Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, Auditing, or a closely related scientific or technical field.
  • Formal auditor certification — such as Lead Auditor for ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 — is highly desirable and a significant competitive advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven, hands-on food safety auditing experience in manufacturing, retail, QSR, or food service environments — this is a firm requirement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of GFSI-recognised food safety schemes (FSSC 22000, BRC, SQF, IFS, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
  • Prior experience delivering supplier audits, assurance programmes, or food safety training to industry clients in your local market.

Essential Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to produce clear, professional audit reports and present findings to diverse client audiences.
  • Independent, professional work ethic with the ability to manage your own schedule, workload, and client relationships with minimal supervision.
  • Must be currently based and legally authorised to work in one of the eight listed countries — relocation is not available for these positions.
  • Familiarity with digital auditing tools, food safety management software, or cloud-based assurance platforms is a welcome advantage.
