Position Overview
This General Labor role involves assisting in general labor processes throughout Mountaire Farms’ Siler City, North Carolina poultry processing facility. You will carry out general labor duties supporting efficient poultry processing operations, maximize product yield while limiting waste across all production areas, abide by all USDA regulations and company safety and health policies, maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout every shift, and ensure thorough workspace cleanup after each shift concludes. General Labor team members must be prepared to work across all departments as needed while following all company SOPs and actively supporting Mountaire’s Goal Zero safety mission statement.

Key Responsibilities
General Labor & Poultry Processing Duties
- Carry out general labor duties across all areas of the poultry processing facility as assigned
- Support efficient poultry processing operations maximizing throughput and production quality
- Be prepared and willing to work in all departments as operational needs require each day
- Assist in maximizing product yield while actively limiting waste throughout the production process
USDA Regulatory Compliance
- Abide by all USDA regulations governing poultry processing operations at all times
- Follow all company safety and health policies throughout every shift without exception
- Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in every department worked
- Support Mountaire’s Goal Zero mission statement through safe, responsible daily work habits
Workspace Cleanliness & Sanitation
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and hazard-free throughout the entire shift duration
- Ensure proper, thorough cleanup of workspace and equipment at the end of every shift
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards aligned with USDA and company requirements
- Report any cleanliness concerns or safety hazards immediately to supervisors or team leads
Safety Protocol Adherence — Goal Zero
- Actively support Mountaire’s Goal Zero safety mission in every task performed each day
- Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for designated work areas
- Participate in safety training and demonstrations as required by company safety programs
- Report any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or incidents to supervisors promptly and accurately
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED) — minimum educational requirement for this position
- No advanced degree or specialized training required beyond high school diploma or equivalent

- Willingness to work across all departments within the Siler City processing facility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment following standard operating procedures
- Physical ability to perform general labor duties throughout a full production shift
