Key Responsibilities
Geotechnical Data Interpretation & Analysis
- Analyse and interpret geotechnical data including laboratory and in-situ test results, borehole logs, and monitoring data
- Support geotechnical data management and quality checking across multiple project datasets
- Contribute to ground investigation data review, summary, and technical interpretation
- Apply strong attention to detail and analytical thinking to complex, real-world ground conditions
Numerical Analysis & Foundation Engineering
- Support geotechnical numerical analyses using tools such as PLAXIS, FLAC, RS2, or similar software
- Assist with foundation engineering design including shallow and deep foundation assessments
- Contribute to earthworks, retaining structure, and slope stability analyses as required by project scope
- Apply geotechnical engineering principles rooted in soil mechanics and rock mechanics to real project challenges
3D Subsurface Modelling & Digital Engineering
- Assist with 3D subsurface modelling for complex ground characterisation across project sites
- Develop geotechnical data visualisations using the XPLORE platform
- Contribute to innovative digital engineering solutions using Python and other analytical tools
- Support the firm’s ongoing development of digital geotechnical workflows and data-driven tools
Technical Reporting & Communication
- Contribute to geotechnical technical reports, summaries, and project presentations
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate technical writing suitable for client and regulatory submission
- Assist senior engineers in preparing ground investigation interpretative reports and design memoranda
- Present technical findings in a structured, professional, and accessible manner
Site Visits & Project Support
- Be based on-site in Dubai and occasionally visit project sites as required
- Support field activities and ground investigation supervision where needed
- Liaise with project teams and external stakeholders under the guidance of senior engineers
- Contribute to project-driven deliverables within agreed timelines and quality standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field (REQUIRED)
- Postgraduate studies in geotechnical engineering or ground engineering are an advantage
Experience Requirements
- Recent graduate or engineer with up to two years of experience in geotechnical engineering or consulting
- Experience or relevant coursework in geotechnical design including foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and slope stability is highly beneficial
- Exposure to geotechnical numerical modelling software such as PLAXIS, FLAC, RS2, or similar is a strong advantage
Essential Skills
