Position Overview
This Construction Project Engineer role translates client needs and blueprints into clear project scopes, creates schedules using Gantt charts and CPM software, allocates manpower and materials for each phase, reviews MSA and shop drawings, examines engineering drawings for compliance, manages RFIs, monitors budgets, reviews change orders, serves as the main stakeholder liaison, prepares progress reports, leads coordination meetings, conducts site inspections, ensures safety compliance, and oversees final commissioning and project handover.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Translate client needs and blueprints into clear, actionable project scopes
- Create project schedules using Gantt charts and Critical Path Method (CPM) software with milestones and deadlines
- Determine manpower, equipment, and materials needed for each project phase
- Review and submit MSA and shop drawings
2. Technical Design & Integration
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for accuracy, feasibility, and code compliance
- Manage RFIs (Requests for Information) — clarifying design ambiguities between field teams and design engineers
- Ensure materials and equipment ordered by contractors match exact engineering specifications through submittal review
3. Cost Control & Budgeting
- Assist in preparing initial project bids and cost estimates
- Monitor daily and weekly expenditure against allocated budget to prevent overruns
- Review, negotiate, and document change orders that alter project scope, budget, or timeline
4. Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as the main point of contact between Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and senior leadership
- Prepare regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations outlining project health
- Lead coordination meetings to resolve conflicts, align teams, and clear bottlenecks
5. Quality Assurance, Safety & Handover
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work is executed according to approved engineering designs
- Ensure all operations adhere to OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety protocols
- Oversee testing, commissioning, final punch lists, and walkthroughs before client handover
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering — Mandatory
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction project coordination or project engineering in the UAE
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced UAE construction environment
